Pet care experience
I've owned dogs and cats all my life, but I also run a nonprofit that trains service dogs! So I have about 15 years of pet experience under my belt. I've worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities!

Madeline has been great with my golden retriever puppy! She’s been so easy to communicate with and has gone above and beyond. My puppy loves when she comes to visit!
Madeline has been wonderful with my two dogs! One of them is a puppy, and requires extra attention and care. Madeline was very thorough in following my directions and I was impressed by her ability to read my dogs’ energy levels and cater their activity of the day to best suit their needs. I’ve hired her back twice so far and plan to do so more in the future!

I know each animal has it's own lifestyle (crating/eating habits/walking schedule and duration), so when watching a pet for longer periods of time I like to stick to what their normal routine would look like, and hopefully ease stress from being with a new person. I do live in an apartment with two cats, so non-cat friendly dogs will have to be watched at the owners place.

Please let me know if your pet has any quirks ( reactivity to different things/people on walks, areas on them they don't like to be touched, any boundaries they have within the house, ect. ) so I can make sure to be mindful and decrease as much stress for them as possible!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks to new areas to explore different smells! I'll always utilize their favorite toys to get out extra energy and provide extra attention. As someone who has worked with very smart/ high energy breeds, I love to incorporate different games to stimulate them mentally.

I'm currently a PhD student, so I have a flexible schedule but I do work full time. I have the luxury to choose my hours or work from home when needed, so that allows me to schedule in pet care!
