Pet care experience
In addition to professionally dog-sitting throughout the pandemic, I've grown up with dogs my entire life and absolutely love animals. My family also fostered dozens of dogs from the Humane Society when I was in middle school, which exposed me to dogs from all backgrounds. My experience fostering dogs and dog-sitting for neighbors as a teenager prepared me very well to be a great dog-sitter today as an adult! While I'm most comfortable with dogs, I also have experience with cats. Because I work from home, my schedule is wide open to care for your pup! I am interested in both recurring appointments and one-time, last-minute clients. I am available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. I will take your dog(s) on walks around your neighborhood or any other nearby park you recommend! When doing a drop-in visit or a walk, I also love spending a little extra time with a dog in their own home before and after to make sure they feel loved before I go.

Madeline has stayed at our house and watched our full-of-energy dog (a 1-year-old mid-sized mix) three times. She's terrific and trustworthy and our dog loves her. He's so excited every time he sees her--partly because she spoils him with doggy playdates with her family's dog--and we know he's in great hands when we leave him with her. My only hesitation in writing this review is that she might not be available next time we ask!
Madeline stayed in our home and took care of our 2 dogs, a 9 year old lab and an 8 month old rescue pup. She was a wonderful house sitter, we arrived home after being gone for 2 weeks to find the house and yard had been extremely well taken care of. More important to us, though, is that both are dogs were well cared for and happy. She took the time to play with and exercise our older dog in a way that met his needs and kept him satisfied. She arranged play dates to help socialize our puppy and provide her with the stimulation and exercise that she needed, too (and sent photos!). Being away from home and not having to worry about our home or whether the dogs were being cared for, loved, and exercised helped to make our vacation completely stress free. We highly recommend her, and will have her back to stay and care for our dogs when we travel again.
Madeline is the first person we have had that left us very comfortable with leaving our dog at home. she went above and beyond in what we expected with care and it was so nice to get photos of how each visit was going. I will be using Madeline every time! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!
I have lived next door to Madeline since she was born and I can confidently say that Madeline loves dogs. Her family has always had them, big and smaller. They have fostered dogs in the past so Madeline is very familiar with different kinds of temperament. She has taken care of our pets occasionally and done a great job. I never leave a dog alone for more than three hours and always follow the owner's instructions about how long the dog can be left alone.

A typical day
Since I do not take any dogs I'm watching on the subway, your dog and I will go on walks around your neighborhood or at a nearby dog park if there is one. When we're confirming our booking, tell me about your dog's favorite places to go! This helps the dog feel most comfortable when interacting with a new person.

Availability
I currently work from home. My hours are flexible on weekdays, and weekends are wide open. This means I can easily fit drop-in visits and walks into my day. When house sitting, I can look after your dog all day while I work.
