I have taken care of a variety of pets since I was seven years old. My friends and family often relied on me to watch their pets while they were traveling and to walk them while they were at work. I am currently working freelance, which means I am heavily in control of my schedule, and I am often pretty flexible. This means that I typically have plenty of time to walk dogs during the week according to a schedule that they are used to, and I am usually pretty open on the weekends for house-sitting. I greatly enjoy walks, and I always ensure to research the best park around where the dog lives to ensure that they can get plenty of exercise. Everyone loves a good game of fetch, and I never seem to run out of balls for the dogs to play with. In the hotter months, I always make sure I carry a travel bowl with me to ensure that the dog can stay hydrated. When house sitting, it depends on if I am staying in the home or just stopping by consistently checking on the pet. If I am staying at the home, I follow the client's regular schedule to a "T' to ensure that there is as little interruption to the pet's routine. If I am simply consistently dropping by the house to check on the pet, then I will remain for 1-2 hours at a time, depending on how many times a day I am checking in and how long the client is gone.
