I always stay closely attuned to a dog's behavior when I first do a meet and greet. I remain calm and allow a dog to sniff me first before ever reaching out to pet them. If a dog seems particularly nervous or shy, I will allow them time to simply feel comfortable around me while I chat with their human. Depending on the dog, I will kneel down so they feel less intimidated. With the owner's permission I will provide treats to earn a dog's trust and create a positive association with me. I will also always ask the owner to go on a walk with me and their dog (with me walking), as walks creates bonds between humans and dogs and it will give me a sense of how the dog behaves out in the neighborhood. This is also a wonderful opportunity to get the lowdown on your pup’s diet, routines, allergies, medications, likes/dislikes, triggers, temperament, etc. I am very communicative and determined to provide daily updates for my human clients, including photos and videos. I like the humans to feel confident in their dog's safety and comfort in my care. I aim to respond to all messages within the hour, if not right away.

I am able to bring plenty of toys and snacks along with me for walks and check-ins, should you desire. I will stick to preferred dog-walking routes, so you know that your dog will be comfortable. If your dogs come to our neighborhood the best parts will be the quiet parks and the sidewalks to keep your dogs away from traffic. There is plenty of shade for dogs on long walks and lots of grassy areas for the dogs to sniff and "go" while we walk. The neighborhood is extremely dog-friendly.
