I have always loved animals more than people, especially growing up as an only child with a dog! I talk to animals as if they’re friends. I fell in love with dogs when I volunteered in a rescue animal shelter after Hurricane Katrina, where I took care of 100+ pound dogs at 11 years old – this included carrying several back to the shelter when suffering from PTSD attacks in the rain. I took them on walks, played with them, cleaned their cages, and assisted with the cats inside as well. I grew up with both cats and dogs and have been an animal lover my whole life. I have experience playing with and caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, all backgrounds, all temperaments. I have watched senior dogs, dogs with anxiety and physical ailments. I bond immediately with most if not all dogs I meet and am the point person for all family and friends for taking care of their dogs when out of town. I am very active in my life and career as a sideline reporter and need to get my exercise outside this summer, and am looking for some walking buddies!
