Who Let The Dogs Out - Maddy Does

Pet care experience

I have been taking care of animals for over 15+ years. That mainly included helping my family that lived on a ranch with multiple horses, dogs and cats. I was in charge of walking/feeding the dogs and cats as well as feeding the horses. I also have had experience in raising other dogs throughout my childhood and into adulthood. My dad and I always had a dog in our house that I was semi responsible in training and taking care of. My friends have relied on me multiple times to also take care of their pets either on daily walks, baths or boarding in house or at my own house while they are away. I have experience with a variety of sized dogs from small to large and younger puppies to older dogs as well. I love being outside and going on hikes and walks. I am a very patient person and understand that dog/animal care requires responsibility, commitment, and unconditional love.

Maddy is a wonderful pet lover. When living in SF her and her roommate co-parented a very sweet and nervous rescue pup named Louie, and Maddy was very good at taking great care of him, while still being sensitive and attentive to his needs. She always gave him proper exercise and socialization. I trusted Maddy with watching my own dog as well, and she is a very loving, good natured and trustworthy person and animal lover.

Maddy has watched our little boys multiple times over the past few years and she is an absolute dream. She is attentive, detail oriented and so so caring and gives us the peace of mind that our creatures are being taken care of the way we would want them to be. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a competent and wonderful caregiver, she is simply the best!

I highly recommend Maddy for watching any furry friend. She is reasonable and will make sure your pet is well taken care! She loves taking dogs on walks and does well with almost any temperament!

I have a very skittish, nervous, strange dog (I love him so much but he can be difficult). Maddy is the only person I trust to watch him. She showed up for both of us whether I was stuck late at work (she'd take him on a long walk) or I was on vacation for 3 weeks. My dog Louie loves Maddy like she is his second mom. It is such a relief to have somebody I trust completely to watch him! Maddy is dependable, kind, polite, easy to communicate with, and an animal lover! I cannot recommend her enough as a pet/house sitter!

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a townhouse with one other roommate. There are two levels to the home and an unfenced back yard. We live very close to several nearby parks and in a safe/pet friendly environment. I have my own transportation and can commute to any nearby dog parks or hiking trails as well. If preferred, there is room to station a crate for the animal. I also will allow an animal to sleep with me in my bed. I do ask that the animals are pretty well potty trained before brining them to my house because we have carpeted floors, but I am completely willing to house sit as well.

Information Maddy W. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know ahead of time of certain specifications and requirements that your dog might need. It is important to understand the dogs overall fitness and energy level, whether or not we need to go on longer more active walks or shorter pee breaks/ around the block type of walks. Also it is extremely important to let me know how the dog behaves around other dogs, puppies, children, or other animals. Are there any behavior traits that distinguish your dog differently compared to other dogs and that might change the overall comfort level of your dog while I am taking care of them? Food, medication, potty training, and overall commands are good things to know during the duration of our time together.

A typical day

I am a very active person who loves to spend time outside! I always enjoy taking dogs on as many outings as I can. Which includes walking to our near by dog park, which is a block away, and allowing the dogs to interact with other dogs. Also if the dogs are capable, I love to go on hikes around the surrounding area of Bozeman. Dependent on the dogs energy level I can make it a longer or shorter hike. Also when there is down time, other fun activities for the dog/s would be to play fetch or snuggles and pets after time playing outside.
