Sacramento fairy GREAT with dogs!
Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover starting when I first started growing up. I was raised with golden retrievers so and have been around dogs my whole life. My last dog died in 2020 and my schedule changes frequently as a freelance musician, so I am grateful to have found Rover for not only making ends meet, but also being able to ensure quality care to my neighbors' dogs if I don't have one of my own to care for anymore. I trained my last puppy and am currently training my sister's puppy as well, who is still quite rambunctious as she just turned one. I am familiar on how to care for dogs of all sizes, I've worked with most breeds, administered all kinds of medications, cared for elderly dogs, and, although I am allergic, I am also able to care for cats. I am extremely detail oriented and will make sure your animal family members receive the care they deserve. :)

Maddy walked Faye and Nacho the corgis two days I wasn’t able to. She took them out on time and got them the exercise and socializing they crave. Reliable and timely, Maddy is an asset for our fur family members.
Faye and Nacho love Maddy and so do we. Dogs and house were looked after and cared for famously. Communication and pix were frequent. It’s comforting to know we have a trusted sitter when we can’t take the pups along.
Maddy did a phenomenal job checking in and playing with Zeno, 5 stars all around!
Maddy is the best!! I went through a lot of dog walkers trying to find somebody as reliable and trustworthy as Maddy, I’m so happy to have found her! She’s always on time, responds quickly, and takes excellent care of my dog! If she’s able to tire out my Australian Shepherd, she’ll be able to give your dog great exercise too! I highly recommend Maddy

I will not provide pet care in my own home but for others I make sure to keep the doors always locked for my own safety and the safety of the homeowner. As for walks, I will not walk any dog after dark, especially because many of the dogs I walk are located in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

Extremely important- if your dog is friendly around other animals, ie other dogs, cats, birds, squirrels. It is also important to know if the dog takes any medication, if the dog has anxiety or if they have been abused in the past, and if the dog doesn’t like specific things, such as their feet getting touched or they are scared of the vacuum.
A typical day
I love to walk, cuddle, roughhouse and play, and just have a good time with the dogs I watch. For my regular dogs throughout the week I will sometimes take them someplace more special than the neighborhood the usually walk in. For example, in the past I've taken a repeat customer's dog to the Sacramento river to walk on the levy, and another I’ve taken to a nearby park to play frisbee. One of my dogs I’ve ridden my bike with to get all his energy out. I will do whatever I can, and whatever my client is comfortable with doing, to ensure a good stay.

Availability
I am a freelance musician, so any work I receive comes from playing shows, Rover, or odd jobs. I have plenty of time in my daily routine to fit in a walk or a drop-in visit here and there.
