Pet care experience
I have always grown up with pets, and as I got older I was given more and more responsibility. I have dog sat and taken care of my family’s dogs for years, as well as I have pet sit for many neighborhood families, and many different families through Rover. I have experience with all sizes of dogs, as well as reptiles and small animals (hamsters, guineas, etc.) Taking care of animals is something that brings me joy and I absolutely love getting to bond with so many different pets.

Wow is all I can say! Maddie was absolutely great with my dog Madison. I’m such a worrier and being out of the country I was so nervous. But anytime I have cell service she responded so quickly to put my mind at ease. She also sent me pictures almost everyday. Just what I needed. Highly recommend Maddie. Will definitely use her again.
Maddie has such a big heart with a huge love for dogs. I have no doubts that Maddie would be a wonderful dog caregiver. She is definitely responsible and can handle caring for dogs.

When taking care of a clients pets, I think it is important to make sure you tailor the experience to each individual pet and pay extra attention to any owner’s notes. Making sure the pets feel comfortable around me and won’t cause any issues is important as well. Going into a clients home means taking care of their pets as they would, in their own environment, and making sure it stays as consistent as possible.
Information Maddie W. would like to know about your pet
I don’t mind taking care of animals of any size, however I would like to know ahead of time if the dog is aggressive towards other animals/people or tends to jump a lot.
A typical day
Northern Virginia has a solid amount of outdoor trails, so if it were nice and the dog travels well, I might take them to one of those trails. Otherwise, I would just take them to explore around their neighborhood.

I currently work as a server and my schedule is pretty consistent. I tend to work 11-5 pm T/W/Th/Sat/Sun so I am available to do pet care before or after my shifts.
