Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Maddie and I am a current Master’s student at the University of Nebraska in the Counseling Psychology program. While I’m busy with school work I am eager to get back into pet sitting so that I can have a furry friend to study with! Since I was very little, animals have been an important part of my life. I have lived with dogs for as long as I can remember! I have had a lifetime of feeding, playing with, walking, and caring for them. I have also had experience with various sizes and breeds of dogs, and regularly look after a handful of pets (including cats) in my neighborhood. I have plenty of time during most of my days to snuggle, walk, and care for any of your furry friends.

Maddie was so easy to work with and accommodating! She sent pictures of the dog and let us know how it was going. I’d have her stay again!
Maddie kept us in the loop by sending pictures and videos of our pets daily while we were gone. We knew our fur babies were in good hands. We can't think her enough for taking such good care. In addition, our house was in the same condition as we left it so she was sure to pick up after herself as well. We hope she will be available the next time we travel.
Maddie loved animals and is very responsible. She comes into our house and stays with out dog while we are out of town. Our dog loves her! Recommend her highly!

I also understand that the space should remain as it was when you left, and will always clean up after myself and only use what I am permitted to use by the owner! I want to make sure that both you and your pet feel secure with me being in your home.

Information Maddie R. would like to know about your pet
To begin, I would like to make this clear: I do not have any breed preferences! I love all dogs. Before taking care of your pet, I would love to know a little bit about your pets' favorite things! What are his/her favorite toys? Where do they love to play and take walks? What treats do they look forward to each day? Do they like car rides? My main priority while pet sitting is to make the experience as comfortable and normal as possible for your furry friends! In addition, I think it is fairly important to know if the dog is very protective or slow to warm up. This would in no way deter me from watching the dog, but would help me be prepared for public situations (for example, while walking your pet). My family has a German Shepherd who is an absolute sweetheart but is extremely protective of me and very slow to warm up to strangers, and I know ways to make her feel more comfortable around people she is not familiar with.
A typical day
One thing I look forward to doing when pet-sitting is taking my furry friends to Starbucks for a pup cup. If you're dog is all about car rides, I would love to do this with them! I would also always be willing to take your pet on a walk- anywhere! Some of my personal favorites include walks to the park, around Holmes Lake, or through some of Lincoln's beautiful walking trails! If your pet has a favorite walking spot, I would love to know beforehand! I also love playing fetch, whether it is inside with a fluffy toy or outside with a ball!

Availability
I work from home in addition to being a full-time student. My only "full" day of classes is Wednesday, but I am able to take breaks to come on check on my furry friends throughout the day. Otherwise, I am able to spend a lot of time at home and outside with your pup!
