Pet care experience
I am a mental health counselor and I am in charge of training, care, and social media for therapy dog Cocoa (check out her Instagram if you’d like to see how she advocates for mental health @cocoathecounselor). My family has owned 2-3 dogs at a time throughout my life, and I have helped raise them from puppyhood to old age. I now own an old doggo named Jake, he’s in my profile pic. Actually funny story - he was a dog I met on Rover! Fell in love with and then adopted. He won’t be around your doggo, but he is an absolute sweetie and I adore him. I have been dog sitting for friends and family for the past 10+ years (I can provide references), and have been on Rover now for almost 5 years! I have always enjoyed taking pups for walks and giving them oodles of love and affection! I am an outdoorsy person, so long walks are one of my favorite things - dogs and I have this in common. I am incredibly tidy and clean, so there won't be any mess laying around for your pup to get into. I am a kind and courteous guest in any space. Maddie is great! She’s easy going and very comfortable with 85 lb GSD. Our 10+ year old ‘pup’ was happy to go with her for his morning and afternoon strolls!
Maddie takes grear care of Roxy and Sunny. She feeds and pets them, plays and picks up after them. She is responsive and reliable and sends darling photos. Highly recommend her!
This was our first time we’ve used Rover for our dog and Maddie made it a wonderful, no hassle experience. Maddie was flexible with drop-off and pick-up timing. We enjoyed the daily updates with pictures.

I am a huge animal lover, so pets are treated like family! The same rules apply with me as would apply when your pup is around you. I am a cuddler and a talker, so your pet will get lots of love and attention from me! I usually become pals with my canine stewards and am always sad to leave them!

I do work from home as a mental health therapist, so for several hours I have to sit in zoom calls with little noise or distraction to be present for my human clients. I couldn’t do this with a loud or very needy dog. That doesn’t mean it couldn’t work - for instance could work from my home and return at the end of the day.
A typical day
I am a pretty active person so am down to include your dog in my daily activities or in anything she/he might like to do, such as hiking, walking, and dog parks! If your dog is good in public spaces, then I’m willing to take him/her along to patio or park hangs. Whatever you’re comfortable with. I am also a good photographer, so you can expect photos updates from me.

Availability
I work from my home. I will take your pet on a little walk and potty break in the morning before work, at lunch, and/or a long walk after work. Then there is usually play time, snuggle time, and lounge time in the evenings.
