I have always been an animal lover, but my parents growing up never wanted them. When my husband and I bought our home, we both agreed that the first thing we wanted to do was get a dog. It was the best decision we ever made - we got our beautiful pup Luna, and entered into the world of animal rescue. We now have added 2 cats to the family (all rescued from the same group) and now volunteer my time with them as an adoption coordinator and foster. I have found that being with animals is when I am at my happiest - I even volunteered at an animal sanctuary on my honeymoon. I love all animals, and even considered going to veterinary school before settling on nursing. Being around any animal of any age is fun and exciting for me, and I would love to take care of and love on someone else's pet like it was my own.
