I wrote "10 years experience" of care, although I've been in a dog household my whole life. I'm very active and can tire your pup out, but I also have a lot of experience with older, calmer dogs. I helped my grandma take care of her diabetic lab for her (the dog's) last 2 years (of 13!), and I currently have a younger coon hound at home. So I know what I'm doing as far as food, behavior, baths, etc! If your friend needs insulin, I can easily adapt that into my routine, even 'hand-feed' him/her (I've met some older dogs who are picky). Every dog has his/her own personality, and that's one of the reasons I enjoy being around them! I usually have a very open schedule so even if my preferences show certain times, feel free to ask if you need a walk or drop-in later/earlier than my "availability" or a last minute house-sit!
