Pet care experience
I’ve always loved animals and their unique personalities! I’ve taken care of all sorts of pets since middle school. It began with family pets, then my own. I’ve watched pets for friends, neighbors, and coworkers. I have a vet tech in my family whom I’ve learned so much from, such as the proper way to administer medication, CPR, signs of dehydration or general pain and discomfort, appropriate feeding amounts by size, what kinds of foods can be toxic to your pet, and how to give injections. I have experience caring for senior pets and pets that have seizures, diabetes, and arthritis.

Madalyn is amazing. She took care of Emma for 5 days while we were gone and Emma was so happy and at ease. She gave us lots of updates including photos and videos of Emma! She even left our place sparkling clean!!! 20/10 service is what you’ll get with Madalyn!
This was our second time booking Madalyn to house sit our 5 Pekingese! All went very well as we expected. Because Maddy works from home it gives our fur babies lots of cuddle time. Our house was also well cared for!

I want your pet to be as happy as possible while they miss you! Without specific instructions, I feed dogs twice daily and ensure their water bowls are never empty. For cats, I typically make sure their food and water bowls are always full (unless otherwise specified.) If there is sufficient space in the backyard, I’ll play fetch with dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks as needed and have playtime inside. I want your pet to feel at ease and get their deserved attention!

I prefer detailed written instructions for pets who have special diets, take medication, or need specific care. I need to know if dogs are leash-trained and good with other dogs, people, and children.
A typical day
If the weather is nice, I’ll take dogs for walks. If the weather is awful, then we’ll have playtime inside. Playing fetch in the backyard is an option too!
