Pet care experience
I have lived with dogs since I was born, and I have taken care of other people’s pets since I was a teenager. I have been hired by friends and through word of mouth in the past. I have cared for puppies, and I have cared for senior pets. I have had a Great Dane of my own, and I have cared for every type and size of dog (including “aggressive” breeds). I believe a pet is like family, and they should be treated as such. I have experience in staying at pets’ houses while their owners are away, I have experience in walking dogs, and I have understanding of teaching basic commands to dogs. I have experience in giving dogs medications, I have worked with small dogs that need diapers. I enjoy playing and spending time with animals and believe that an enriched animal is a happy animal. Choosing me as your pet caretaker will allow you peace of mind as you live your life, and you will ALWAYS come home to a happy, healthy animal.

I was so nervous to go out of town and leave my babies, but I have to say, I can see myself traveling more thanks to Madalyn. I have a senior dog that requires physical therapy as well as medications and Madalyn was able to accommodate all 3 of my dogs. She is so caring and knowledgeable. My cat Dyna isn’t usually the friendly type, but when Madalyn came stay at my house to watch her, Dyna instantly fell in love with her. She kept me updated and sent me plenty of videos and messages while i was out of town which really made me feel safe, and comfortable with having her there. I recommended her to my friend as well and she also enjoyed having Madalyn watch her fluffy maine coon kitty. 🐈⬛ I was really satisfied and will definitely plan on having her come over again when i’m on my work trips 😊
Madalyn watched our big baby, Flash while we were on a family vacation for TEN days. We were so nervous because this was the first vacation we took since getting him 4 years ago. She loved him as if he were her baby! Our big baby is a 120 pound Rottweiler & she was so relaxed around him, which made him & us relax. We cannot express our gratitude for Madalyn, she truly is an exceptional dog sitter!
Madalyn watched my 2 Chihuahuas & they fell in love with her! They are usually scared of strangers & bark at them, but not Madalyn, they got in her lap all on their own, & even whimpered when she left them! She played with them & sent me videos of them playing fetch with her! The way she was with my babies allowed me to completely relax & I was able to enjoy my vacay knowing they were loved by her! Madalyn is an exceptional & valued caretaker & we will only be using her for all of our pet babysitting!

A typical day
I love playing with dogs by playing fetch, tug of war, hide and seek, etc. I will take them into the backyard and let them run around and sniff for however long they want to. With your permission/request, I will walk them around the neighborhood to allow them to take in all the sights and sounds. Giving your dogs treats and giving them pets and belly rubs is super fun. Toys that are mentally stimulating are a perfect way to keep them entertained. I have even put bites of dog food and folded a towel in multiple ways and let them find all the food. It’s very rewarding for them. There are many ways to interact with a cat as well. Allowing them to look out the window or putting on “Cat TV” keeps them entertained. Seeing a cat play is a lot of fun so I like to use their toys to interact with them. I love to give them treats and pet and love on them *on their terms.*

Availability
I have open availability. I am able to accept same day requests for dog walking and drop-in visits (for cats and dogs). I need at least 2 days advance for overnight stays with your pet ONLY. I am aiming to gain regular clientele, such as daily walking or daily visits. I am adaptable and flexible in my scheduling.
