I may have a dog addiction...
Pet care experience
I have worked with and cared for dogs and cats throughout my life, as well as a wide variety of other animals (including horses, goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, bearded dragons, turtles, birds, you name it). I have worked with dogs of every size, age, and temperament - I even cared for 30+ sled dogs for a winter in the Yukon! I do especially love dogs, and would love to meet yours. Of course I am also happy to meet your cats and other pets, dogs just hold a special place in my heart and always have.

Took amazing care of my senior dog, Honey! Would definitely hire her again!!
Mad is the best! My little Bobby isn’t the most approachable dog all the time but she worked wonders with him! She even brought ant goo to help with an ant outbreak while I was away! Thanks for everything, Mad! We appreciate you so much!
Mad was the best kitty sitter for our two cats! She is reliable, communicative, and I know our kitties would love to have her visit again!
Finding the right person for this is a very important decision for us and Mad did not disappoint. From start to finish she made us feel comfortable leaving our animals with somebody we had just met. She booked a long stay on short notice during the holidays and did everything we asked. She was considerate of everything we wanted and asked us questions about other things she thought of to make sure nothing was missed. She spent lots of time giving love to everyone when they needed it most. Our animals usually get stressed and act differently when we are gone but there were no signs of that. Knowing they were happy goes a long way in making us feel like we can leave town and not having to worry. Especially considering a variety of special needs like daily medication. We got frequent updates with photos. Not just from across the room either. It was obvious that she was sitting on the floor playing with them. We were very happy with Mad and highly recommend her!

I am currently accepting overnight bookings with flexible rates, but I am not considering stays longer than a week at this time. I have my own dog who misses me when I'm away, and I don't like to be away from her for that long!
Information Mad S. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know any behavioral quirks or issues, as well as any of their needs (food, attention, exercise, medications, training, etc.), and any relevant parts of their history (i.e. if they have been abused in the past - it happens with rescues! - or have any triggers, fears, or off-limits activities). I'll happily care for any breed or age, and am happy to accommodate high-strung or "difficult" dogs - I fully understand that some dogs need extra time and patience, and I'm happy to provide that!
A typical day
I live in south Eugene, close to Tugman Park and just up the bike path from the Amazon Dog Park - as a rule, I do not take others' dogs to dog parks (you just never know what can happen, so I prefer to walk along trails and side streets). I mostly get around on foot or by bus, but I have an ebike so I'm flexible.

I am flexible and do my best to accommodate changing schedules and needs on a weekly basis. I am often available on short notice if timing is flexible, just reach out and ask.
