Caring, Mature, & Responsible

Pet care experience

I have been around animals my entire life, I currently have two cats and a dog. Professionally, I have worked as a kennel technician and a dog daycare attendant. Additionally, I have years of experience pet-sitting for family members, friends, and neighbors. I aim to do whatever I can to ensure that your pets are comfortable and well taken care of, as well as make sure that you, as the owner, are satisfied with the care they receive. I am flexible and open to learning anything I can about how to improve you and your pets' experience.

Macy is AMAZING! My pooch, Maya, is diabetic, mostly blind, and extremely anxious. None of these things worried Macy. Instead, she took her knowledge of animals and moved very slowly with Maya. Macy never forced Maya to interact with her, but instead, let Maya get used to her being there. After one meeting, I could tell Maya connected with Macy. Maya doesn't connect with just anyone so immediately I knew Macy had a way with our sweet girl and would be good for her, and I was right! Macy dropped in to care for Maya twice on 6/20/2020. The first visit was a potty break. The second visit was potty, dinner, and insulin shot. I was worried that if Maya was too nervous she may not eat, but I held onto the fact that I knew she had a special connection to Macy. Much to my surprise, Maya ate all her food! This may not sound amazing to some but this is HUGE! Maya often refuses to eat at the kennel which isn't good since she's diabetic. I honestly thought this would be the case but I was wrong. Maya did so well with Macy that I will never have to kennel my sweet girl or worry (too much) about her while we are out of the house. Thank you so much, Macy! I look forward to working with you again ?

Macy was an excellent sitter to my cat on multiple occasions. She took the time to play with him and give him lots of attention as he is a very social cat. She would always send an update with pictures and videos and would always be there at the times she said she would. I wish I could have brought Macy with me when I moved because I still haven’t found a pet sitter anywhere near as reliable and friendly as her!

Safety, trust & environment

At home, I am observant, detailed, and caring with my own pets, which is what I continuously aim to provide to other animals as well. I try my best to read body language and interpret behavior. This is the most important thing to me to getting to know new clients along with learning about their owner’s routines and preferences with their pets.

Information Macy W. would like to know about your pet

Any behavioral issues like aggression towards other dogs, separation anxiety, etc. Anything I can do to ensure the animal is comfortable (favorite toys, foods, treats) Anything I should be aware of regarding the health of the animal (allergies, emergency contacts, chronic illnesses etc.)

A typical day

I think the best care I can provide to clients is comforting energy. Playing with them around the house, walking them around the neighborhood, or a nearby park is probably my go-to. I like to try a range of activities to get an idea of what they enjoy the most. Plus, playing is a great way to build trust and also burn off any nervousness!
