Hi my name is Mackintosh (they/them pronouns). I’ve been dog sitting and taking care of pets since I was 10 years old. In my family home we had two Shih Tzu‘s, two miniature schnauzers and a pitbull. Now as an adult I have my own pup who is a pitbull terrier mix and he is well trained. Through my experience in training my own dog, I have worked with professional trainers to correct all sorts of behaviors. My dog is a rescue from Detroit, and I am well versed in how to care for pets with trauma and history of being a stray. I can work with dogs who are reactive as well as dogs that are afraid of people. I am calm, loving, and accepting which is sensed by pets who are nervous around new people.

Mackintosh took great care of our cat Callie with daily drop ins while our family was away. They were super communicative, even stopping by to meet with us and discuss Callie's needs before we left. Callie is a friendly cat in general but was extremely comfortable with them right away, and it was a relief to know she'd be in such good hands. They sent lots of great videos after every drop in, too. Would highly recommend Mackintosh to anyone seeking top notch care for their pets!
Mackintosh is a very attentive sitter, adjusting and accommodating when my cats decide they don't want to eat that or don't want to eat there today and giving them extra play time when they seem particularly rambunctious. My apartment is always clean when I return, and the litter boxes have been scooped, which is great when I'm arriving back in late after a long flight. I have cameras to peek in on the cats now and then when I get anxious or miss them, but I never truly worry about them with Mackintosh checking in.
Mackintosh was amazing with my dog, Willa. Thank you soooo much!!! I will call again!!!

In my home, my dog is treated with so much love and care. He is a rescue from Detroit and requires a lot of patience. I have been working on his training ever since I brought him home in 2020. He is around 4.5 years old now and has come so far in his journey. I know it’s cliche, but I love pups with my whole heart, and if I walk into a room with a dog, you can bet I will be snuggling the pup in under 3 minutes.

I would love to know all about your pup: if they are reactive, good with other pets, good with new people and all of your house rules. Does your pet have a favorite park, favorite toy, favorite treat, favorite place to be scratched?
A typical day
I love to play with pups inside or outside. We can play fetch, tug o war or even make a filled Kong toy with treats and food to stimulate their brains. I love walking dogs and allowing them to sniff and explore.

Availability
I work full time 7:30-4:30 but I am able to fit in dog walking and drop ins during my lunch breaks. My evenings are free after 4:30 and I have availability on weekends as well!
