Pet care experience
I am a born and raised animal lover, and grew up on a small urban farm in Denver. I have over 13 years of experience with dogs and cats, plant care, and housesitting. I am a runner and love to run with leash-trained dogs. I have a Vizsla at home who needs lots of exercise so I'm used to big dogs that need exercise! I just graduated college in May and am new to Minneapolis, but not to pet care. Looking forward to meeting your animals!

Mackenzie is an excellent house/pet sitter! During our absence, she texted with daily updates and photos to let us know that all was well. Furthermore, Mackenzie followed our long list of instructions to the letter. We returned to a clean and tidy house, laundered towels and linens, and two very happy, well-cared for pets! We certainly highly recommend Mackenzie!
My dog, Parker, loved walking with Mackenzie. He ran over to her right away, as if he knew he’d have a good time. And Mackenzie was obviously comfortable right away with Parker - so it was a match made in heaven!
Mackenzie is not only a responsible pet caregiver, but also an attentive, adoring, and loving one. You can depend on Mackenzie to diligently take care of the basics of food, water, walks, clean-up, etc. More importantly, she acts from a place of genuine love for animals and provides those extra touches, cuddles, and care that make it more relaxing to leave your pets behinds. Mackenzie is a wonderful and caring person, and that is abundantly clear when seeing her around animals. From her own dog, Goose, and her cat, Rudy, to pets passed on the sidewalk, Mackenzie has a natural impulse to extend her love and joy to any and all creatures! She is also very skillful and experienced at attending to pets’ specific needs, with an attentiveness that all pets deserve. Mackenzie will provide for your pets as though they were her own!

Right now, I cannot take care of any pets at my home as my landlord unfortunately does not allow it. Hope that changes soon! In terms of care for pets in my clients home, I am very receptive to however the owner prefers me to attend to their pet, though I am most comfortable caring for well-loved and attended to pets.

A typical day
I love taking long walks with dogs around their neighborhood, around a lake, exploring a new spot, or going on runs with higher-energy dogs. I'm also always happy to take your dog to their favorite spot around Minneapolis!

I will be able to work around your needs, generally. I work during the days but can be flexible. I am almost always completely free on Sundays and Mondays, and am always free mornings and evenings, including overnights.
