Pet care experience
I recently moved to Columbia and am looking to help others with their pets during my spare time! In the past two years I have started to pet/house sit while owners are on vacation or spending a weekend away. I grew up with two cats (Alvin and Midnight) in our house from a young age. Currently my parents have a german shorthaired pointer (Maggie - 14), german wirehaired pointer (Mavrick - 6), and a pug (Mabel - 6). I not only have experience with both small and large breeds of animals, but also of all ages. While in college at the University of Illinois I volunteered at the Champaign County Humane Society as a dog walker. My current hours at work would allow me to visit your pet during the day while you are at work. I am hoping to get my fill of animal love since I have moved away from my beloved pets recently!

Mackenzie was wonderful! This is the second time we’ve had her come watch our dogs and bunnies. She gave us great updates and everyone was so happy when we got home! She also responded to a very last minute request! We plan to continue requesting Mackenzie in the future.
Mackenzie was wonderful! She sent updates when she arrived and left, along with updates about how my bunnies were doing! The house was in great shape as well. I plan to use Mackenzie again in the future!
Mackenzie watched my two (50+) dogs for seven days at my apartment while I went on a cruise! She made it so easy to leave knowing they were in good hands, when we came home it was such a relief that the dogs didn’t have to adjust to a new schedule, they were so happy, healthy and clean not to mention my apartment was cleaner than I had left it. We are so sad that Mackenzie had to move but if we had the chance we would have Mackenzie watch our dogs every time we needed someone! She was so great!
Mackenzie has cared for our Pug and German Shorthairs for many years. She is very dependable and trustworthy. We always have peace of mind knowing our fur babies are well taken care of in their own home while we are gone instead of having to board them. She maintains their feeding, toileting, and walking routines along with giving them lots of love and attention. The dogs always seem very happy and stress free when Mackenzie is there to care for them while we are away. Most recently we went to Hawaii for 9 days; Mackenzie stayed in our home taking care of both our home and the animals. I did not have any worries about our home nor animals while away. Thank you, Mackenzie, for always doing a great job!
