Pet care experience
Hey there! My name's Mackenzie Jordan, most just call me Jordan. I worked with dogs in boarding and hiking/walking/sitting settings for four years during my undergrad studies at WWU, and then for two years at a dog ranch and through private pet care here in beautiful Bend, OR. Pet care was my full time job, and now I work daily teaching at a Montessori school from 11:30-5:30, while offering walking/hiking and pet sitting while I'm not with the kiddos. The knowledge I've gained and high level of care I practice everyday, coupled with thousands of hours of work experience with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments, allow me to provide a unique pet care experience. I am here to help however I can and will patiently tailor my services to provide a safe, comfortable and FUN experience for the fuzzy member(s) of your family. I love being outside and truly believe there's no better time spent than with balance and satisfied pups!

Our boys always enjoy their weekends with Jordan & we love knowing that they’re in the best hands!
Jordan stayed with my senior labrador for a week while we went out of town. He has some trouble walking and she was able to work with him and keep him entertained. She sent us updates at least once a day, sometimes more. The house was in perfect condition when we got home. We would definitely ask Jordan to house sit again without hesitation.
Jordan did an awesome job with our Jessie girl. She took her on a couple field trips which was above and beyond what we expected. She also sent us several picture of our tired 15 yo "puppy". She was also very flexible with time. Our flight was delayed and she stayed with Jessie until she knew we were on our way home. Highly recommend her.
Jordan (Mackenzie) communicated throughout her visit about how our pup was doing, offered to brush her, and left the house cleaner than we left it. You can tell she knows dogs well and wants them (and their owners) to be comfortable and at ease. We are planning on using her again later this summer.

How old is your dog and what are their health needs? Do they take any medications? Does your pup have any allergies, food or otherwise? Is there anywhere your dog loves to be pet/anywhere they'd like to avoid being touched? What are your pup's guidance needs? What are your pup's guide words? Do they like other dogs or prefer to ride solo? If they like to go on adventures, does your dog like the car, or can I do anything to help them settle in for the journey? Where does your dog like to sleep? I sometimes buy special treats (usually marrow bones) for my sitting clients. Is this kind of indulgence ok for your dog, or would they prefer a different treat?
A typical day
I don't have dogs of my own, so I absolutely love going on adventures with pups I'm staying with. All dogs are welcome in my truck and don't mind a drive- I'd be happy to transport your furry friend to any of their favorite trails, contingent on their comfortability in either the cab or cozy covered bed, and of course your agreement to their travel. Additionally, I'm always available to open a conversation around behavior and training or spend time working with any undesirable behaviors, using a holistic approach based on my six plus years of experience and animal behavior observation and training. If your pup is more of a homebody, I'm definitely down to focus our time together on brushing and snuggling, cuddling by the TV or fire, napping, or playing as many games of backyard fetch as they'd like! I know dogs are incredibly dynamic and have many different needs- I'm here to pamper you pup, whatever that may mean for them!
