Hi, I’m Mackenzie! I am a very friendly, calm and caring person who loves to spend time in the company of dogs, people and the great outdoors. I have grown up walking and caring for the dogs of family and friends. I am available to stay in your home to ensure that your pets always feel comfortable. I have been professionally pet and house sitting for the past 5 years. You can count on me to be a responsible and compassionate sitter. Fun Facts about Me: I am a student at College of Marin. I am majoring in Environmental Studies to transfer to UCSC! I love to travel! I have solo backpacked through Europe for 3 months and Guatemala for 1 month; as well as living in Oaxaca, Mexico for a summer. My favorite hobby is hula hooping! I love to listen to music and express myself through dance. My second favorite hobby is hiking––which I’m sure your pup loves too! I just built garden beds in my backyard. I am so excited to eat fresh greens and veggies! Below, I have detailed my availability: I currently hold a part time job on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings at YogaWorks. However, my mornings and early afternoons are free as can be–– let me know if you need a drop-in visit or a pup walk during this time frame! As perviously mentioned, I am a student. I am on campus from 11am to 2 pm Monday and Wednesday. Check in with me, if your dog needs care on Monday or Wednesday––there is a chance I can help out.

Mackenzie is extremely patient with dogs and enjoys getting to know them - on their terms, taking the time for them to feel comfortable in new situations, and with new people. Mackenzie loves the outdoors and takes frequent hikes with my two labs. She is extremely conscientious and thoughtful - to pets and to their humans! I know when she takes my dogs out, they'll have a good time. Or if they stay in, she does yoga with them!
