Before moving to Idaho I spent a year and a half working with exotics at a wildlife rescue sanctuary. I have lived in Idaho for almost 6 years now and the entirety of that time I have worked as a veterinary technician. I have an accumulative of over eight years of experience working with animals. Meet and greets are important to ensure that I’m able to meet pet needs and provide quality care. I will be transparent and won’t accept any job that I feel like I won’t be able to dedicate time and attention to; I want to make sure things fit on both ends!

Mackenzie was great! First time leaving my dog with a sitter since I got him, I was super nervous but she gave me all the updates I needed, took Hux to the park and more! Having her sit again for me over the holidays :)
She was great, but my dog is very low maintenance apart from separation anxiety. I paid her for overnight and she told me she had to leave at 11:30PM. She was with my dog for less than five hours. Not one star because she was sweet and very knowledgeable about dogs, however very disappointed in her needing to leave before I returned home.

I like to meet a dog and their owner beforehand if possible. It’s important to ensure that the pet is comfortable with me as well so they’re not too stressed or anxious during our time together. I need to know previous medical concerns, special diet instructions, temperament, likes/dislikes, etc.
A typical day
If your pet is friendly I’d love to take them on hikes, swimming, anything to spend a good chunk of time outdoors. We can walk familiar locations if that’s what they and you are more comfortable with too!

I work full time Tuesday through Friday. I am happy to stay throughout the week and check in during lunch breaks when necessary as long as location permits.
