Pet care experience
I am Fear Free certified. I strive to offer top level personalized care for your pet no matter if it is our first meeting or if I’ve been with them for an extended period of time. My goal is to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress in your pet with strategies and enrichment tools to help your pet have a more relaxing and enjoyable time in and out of their home. I've loved dogs since I was a kid and nothing truly makes me happier than caring for dogs. I have 3 years of senior pet care experience for my grandmother’s Boxer and I am going on 13 years of caring for my dog, Mila. I've pet sat for family and friends multiple time with breeds ranging from a tiny Chihuahua to a large German Shepard. I love meeting new clients and getting to know you and your pet!

Mackenzie dropped in to feed our cats while we were out of town. She was very attentive, organized a pre-visit to ensure she knew the instructions and was always on time. Any time she had additional questions she asked and she let us know our cats were doing well. I would highly recommend Mackenzie for anyone else in the Reno area.
Mackenzie is the best. She adapts to last minute changes with grace, and always doing what's right instead of what is convenient. We love Mackenzie!
Mackenzie is an absolutely amazing pet sitter/walker. She has been doing house visits for us since last year, and each time she is so attentive, and ensures our fur babies are well taken care of. I love the Rover Card pictures she takes too :)

I strive to make sure your pet is safe, happy, and comfortable throughout our time spent together whether in your home or on our walks. When I stay in a client's home, I like to keep things as clean as possible so there is hardly any cleanup required for the client upon returning home. I will go above and beyond caring for your dog thanks to your rules and routine. It will be as of you never left home. I want your dog to be as comfortable with me as possible. During our walks, I have on me doggy bags, water, a small dog first aid kit for minor scraps and irritations, and a leash sleeve that reads "gimme space." You will be immediately notified via call/text regarding the status of the injury and if the kit can be used to clean and cover the area until your pet is seen by their veterinary or emergency vet. I look forward to meeting you and your dog!

I always like to meet your dog before the service begins. This is to ensure that you and your pet are comfortable with me. I want to make sure all parties are comfortable so you have no worries while you're away. I must be made aware of the name, number, and location of your pets veterinarian and/or emergency veterinarian. If something were to happen I would not want to scramble during an important time. In addition, please let me know if your dog has any special needs or medications, allergies or special required food or treats, special behaviors I need to be aware of, a certain routine, and commands your dog knows. I strongly encourage going over their behaviors and routines before the service starts.
A typical day
I will observe your dog and see what toys they find the most fun and join in if they are okay with it. In addition to what your dog already finds fun, I'd love to know if you have any enrichment toys like toppl's, slow feeders, lick mats, and snuffle mats to add into the mix. If not, I'm just glad to spend time with your fur baby whether it be cuddle time or play time. If treat dispensing toys are not their style and going over their commands for treats are, I'd be more than happy to have small training sessions with them. I'll gladly take them on walks throughout my stay so they can receive exercise and an opportunity to sniff around.

Availability
I am free from 6am - 10pm throughout the week to walk your pup! I wake up early and enjoy walking my dog in the early hours of the day and will enjoy walking yours no matter the time. For drop ins I'm available from 6am to 10pm to take care of your pup!
