Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal lover my entire life! From reptiles, to dogs and cats, to horses, to marine life. I have a passion for training my own and my family’s pets as well as just being in the presence of animals! I volunteered at Aheinz in De Soto, Iowa in their puppy area and loved every minute!

Mackenzie has love for any animal. It can be seen by her care for her two dogs, or the small frog that has gotten its way into the yard needing rescued. Any animal in Mackenzie’s care will get the attention that any pet deserves. As her husband, I can see first hand her care for animals; visiting pumpkin patches in the fall isn’t just about the corn mazes, it’s about being with the farm animals, or even the farm cat that happens to walk by and ends up getting its belly scratched - Mackenzie will always find her way to make the animals the feature of any activity. This love has been imprinted on our older daughter who loves her dogs and also loves any animal she comes across.

I have a secured privacy fence with a huge backyard that is dog friendly! I also make sure to use trusted routes for walking that will keep myself and the dog entertained! I won’t leave any doors or gates open and I’ll be mindful of any escape artists in my care.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or behavioral issues that I should be aware of. If your dog has a specific way of eating, such as out of your hand only, I can accommodate. I also can take care of any other pets including cats, reptiles, fish, etc!
A typical day
I love animal cuddles and will promise your pet will get the love and attention they deserve. If your animal has a specific activity or place I am more than willing to participate or take them on a visit! Treats will be given unless instructed otherwise.

Availability
I work at a full time job in Grimes, Iowa but I would have some availability in the mornings between 6-8am. Otherwise, I am mostly free in the evenings and weekends. If you are willing to be flexible I can be flexible too!
