I currently live with two dogs, a yorkie and a mini poodle, that my roommate and I adore. Besides being a pet owner, I volunteer at the ASPCA as a dog walker which has given me experience with many different types of dogs - breeds, sizes, and behaviors. Additionally, I am studying to be a veterinarian and so have learned about the behaviors of animals and have an overwhelming passion for them. I promise that I will spoil your dogs as if they were my own with many walks, back scratches, and fetch. My apartment also has air-conditioning to keep your pup cool in these hot summer months, as well as hard wood floors to minimize accident. I have class Mondays through Thursdays from 1-3 but other than that my availability is pretty free and my schedule is very flexible.

Mackenzie is an incredibly reliable and caring person. She loves all animals and has a natural way of bonding with them, especially dogs. She is my roommate and due to my busy work schedule I frequently have to leave my 2 year old poodle, Teddy, in her care. Teddy adores her and there's no one I would trust more to walk, feed, play with and care for him. I highly recommend Mackenzie as a dog caregiver!

Information Mackenzie C. would like to know about your pet
I do not have any breed preferences, however dogs who do not shed would be preferable. I do have a cat in the apartment, but she is hypoallergenic. So, any dog staying with me would need to be comfortable with cats as well as my two other dogs (who are all very friendly). Additionally, I would like to know about any allergies, food/treat preferences, medical conditions, and unique personality traits/characteristics, as well as if the dog is potty trained. It should be noted that while being potty trained is not essential, it is preferable. Lastly, due to the small size of my apartment, I cannot accept any dogs over 100 pounds.
A typical day
While your dog stays with me, you can ensure that he/she will have plenty of walks around the Bronx (or not if your pet has needs that prevent too much time outside, etc.). There are also a few parks around my apartment that are within walking distance. My apartment building has a enclosed courtyard where your dog(s) can run around and play fetch, or lounge in the sun. I have a few toys from my own dogs but recommend bringing your dog's favorite toy(s) from home for some feeling of familiarity. Additionally, dogs are welcome on the furniture in my apartment so he/she will have plenty of places to lounge and enjoy some belly scratches.
