We have two dogs, an indoor pampered Chihuahua/Terrier mix (Foxy) and an outdoor Beagle (Lucy) and they are not just pets they are family. We loved having Macayla stay with our girls, for many reasons: she has a heart for animals, she is a friendly and compassionate individual and she is ready to go at the last minute. Before Macayla, we usually traveled with our baby and boarded our Beagle at a kennel, whose last trip to the kennel was not a good experience. She came home not having eaten the entire time we were gone and had barked the entire time. When she greeted us, her voice was raw and horse and she had lost weight. It broke our hearts. We said no more. Our most recent trip was last minute and we had to leave both girls home. Macayla made herself available, with little notice on our part and made it possible for our babies to stay at home where they were most comfortable. That was a big plus for us. Knowing our baby girls were safe at home with their own beds and toys and it was still less than the kennel. No more kennels for us. Our girls have their own Pup-Sitter.
