Pet care experience
I started dogsitting for friends about 10 years ago, but have been on Rover since 2017. I take care of pets in all shapes and sizes, but have a special place in my heart for rescued pets and am confident walking and working with large breeds.

It was so nice to be out of the country and know that our cats and home were in such good hands with Mac. We appreciated his professionalism, his love of animals, his communication, and his reliability. We throroughly enjoyed working with Mac and we (especially the cats) look forward to having him back!
Mac was amazing, and went above and beyond for me and my sweet boy Gandalf. I had originally booked a pet hotel but they messed up our booking and left me scrambling trying to find a dog sitter. My boy stayed with Mac for 3.5 days and was very clearly loved on and taken very good care of. Max even sent me some photos and checked in with me to let me know things were going well each day. I will absolutely book with Mac again, it’s so nice to have such a great caretaker available for Gan.
Long and short of it, Mac is great. He's thoughtful and considerate during the initial meeting, caring of your pets during the stay, and great with communication. We will most definitely be booking him again for our pets. Soooooooo very much appreciated!
Mac has done dog sitting for us several times and always works out great.

When housesitting, I would stay overnight in your home - your pup can sleep in with me or wherever they are used to sleeping, to keep up their routine! Every morning, I’ll give your pup a morning walk/potty break, a longer walk in the later afternoon and another short walk or step out in the yard to go potty in the evening before bed. Additionally I can do some work on training & some indoor play. On my days off I like to spend at least one day doing a longer walk somewhere at a park or trail.

How does your pup handle being left at home alone? How long can they be left at home alone when you can’t take them with you? Any aggression towards people or animals including other dogs, on leash etc? I’m confident working with rescue pups and training on challenging behavior, but I want to know what to expect before I agree to a sitting. I have more experience with large breeds but no preferences.
A typical day
I’ll take your pup around the neighborhood or maybe to a nearby park. If they’re good with other dogs and you take them to dog parks, I’d love to do that too!

Availability
I am currently on a leave from work and have just relocated to Seattle! This means I have open availability through end of November, but I will be leaving the house for errands and other obligations - I can adapt to your pet’s care needs.
