I am a Certified Veterinary Technician. I’m originally from Colorado but just moved to Manhattan after spending the last few years in Alaska! I am currently taking a break from the Veterinary field to focus on my mental health, but I miss the fur babies! I have flexible hours, TONS of petsitting/veterinary experience, and way too much love for animals! Because I am a veterinary nurse, I am very willing and able to do medication administration, sick pet care, and pets of any and all species. I am certified in CPCR and first aid for dogs and cats, and have plenty of knowledge backing me up with almost all other species. I am prompt, kind, compassionate, organized, and tail-wag driven. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have and any services you need. I can’t wait to have my heart full of your wonderful pet(s)! I love to make time for a walk/outside time, play time, and snuggle time at each visit. I think it’s important for dogs to get all of their favorite activities out of a petsitter to make being away from their owners more enjoyable!

Maari is phenomenal. She went above and beyond to take care of my pup, even despite having some unexpected evening events. She communicated clearly and was so kind. She clearly loves animals and it was so nice to have someone be so excited to take Mabel on a walk. As a nurse who works long hours it is very relieving when you know your pup is being cared for well, and Maari did just that. Highly recommend!
I came home to a happy and tired pup! Can’t ask for anything better - well except the super cute pics that Maari took!
Maari is really helping us out with our new puppy while we're at work. Our pup is really enjoying her walks & the socialization. Maari is a great communicator & very punctual! Excellent find!

A typical day
When walking a dog I like to let them lead me wherever their nose wanders. I’m more than happy to explore the neighborhood and rarely come with a set path in mind. I love to stay a little extra to make sure we get some play time and snuggles in after the walk!

I’m still looking for a job here so I have plenty of time to care for your furry family members! When it comes to petsitting, I prefer not to stay overnight at your home because I do have my own dog at home.
