Pet care experience
I've always been my friends' designated dog-sitter because they know I like dogs better than humans. I typically put a dog's needs above my own. I grew up with all sorts of animals but I don't have the ability to have my own herd yet so I love to baby-sit other peoples'! I'm self-employed so I work from home and I'm super flexible. I am very athletic and live close to the beach so I enjoys walks/jogs as much as the dogs do. I do believe that animals need consistency and discipline so I will enforce whatever rules you have in place for your pooch. Although I live in a condo, it is easy to host a dog here; I recently dog-sat a friend's dog for 3 months (while she was moving) and we had the best time with lots of beach play (that is the golden retriever you see in my pictures).

When I was in the middle of a new job and moving cities, Kara was a life saver for me and my dog Duncan. Kara housed my not even 1 year old golden retriever for 3 weeks straight. When she took him in to save him from the stress of traveling and moving, she became a second mom to him. I would receive daily updates and pictures of Duncan, and any questions or concerns she had for him, with always the best interest of my dog in mind. When I got my puppy back, he was healthy, well taken care of and sad to leave Kara and the welcoming home she has. I know Duncan especially misses long walks and adventures on the beach, near by parks, and dog parks that she routinely took him to. I almost felt guilty taking him back because I knew he had such a great time with such an amazing care taker!
Lyon was an absolutely wonderful dog sitter! She was enthusiastic about keeping George and was easy to coordinate with to schedule drop off/pick up. She took George on walks to the beach and made sure that he had enough exercise while he was with her. I never worried that George was being neglected or not cared for because Lyon kept me updated on how he was doing. I will definitely use Lyon again, and I would recommend her to any dog owner who wants to ensure that her dog is being cared for!
