Loving Pet Care ❤️ (One at a time)

Pet care experience

Quality service is guaranteed! Petsitting is my only job. I love on and spoil your baby the entire time. I recently retired but don't own any of my own for the 1st time in my life. I grew up taking care of lots of pets (that's me in my photos). Dogs and kitties have always been a part of my life so spoiling yours definitely makes me happy and I love it! My little pug passed away. That broke my heart so I am looking to pamper & care for your furbuddy under 30 lbs. ❤️ You will have peace of mind whether you bring your baby to my house or I watch your fur family at yours. I am able to give a discount to new Rover clients! It brings pure joy into my heart to hear the pitter patter of paws around me or have a sleeping furbaby on my lap. My history: I was a General Manager for 20 years and took my furry babies to work with me everyday along with everywhere they were allowed. I watched my daughter's three kitties constantly as she loves to travel. I have lots of love to give and all the time in the world to attend to your baby around the clock so you can certainly relax during your pet parent getaway. I prepare for my guests by getting all of my errands, housework and chores done before your booking so we can enjoy playtime, lap naps and leisurely walks during your baby's time with me. Spoiling is my specialty! Many fur babies of all kinds have been in my family. My last little one (the black pug pictured on my profile) was adopted at one year old and it was love at first site. Samantha had my heart ❤️ for 15 beautiful years and her passing at almost 16 years old was my most devastating pet loss . We were buds and I still miss her. I am not going to adopt again. I believe being a pet grandmother is my new calling since I won't be able to have children grandbabies. Samantha was so well behaved that we were welcome everywhere and inseparable. My experience, common sense, and responsible, helicopter mom approach will put you at ease while in my hands. Our time together is one on one time and I never leave them alone in the house or outside in the yard even though it's fenced in. I keep my eyes on them. Even the pickiest eaters will cave in to my approaches. I will be petsitting forever so your baby will be treated as my own and protected from harm for years to come. My neighborhood is very nice. There is only one way in and out so our streets don't have a lot of outside traffic. The neighbors drive slow and in the 26 years I've lived here I've only seen one little terrior running loose and I have biked and roller bladed down every street many times. I caught the terrior and my neighbor and I jumped in her car with him on my lap and went ringing doorbells asking neighbors if they knew the owner. Within 15 minutes the owner pulled up right behind us. That's how fast the word spread that we were looking for him! He said his gate was accidentally left open. I know most of the dogs that live close to me. I keep my eye on my guests and the happenings around us. I am good in emergencies but thankfully it's a pretty boring neighborhood. All pups (but the joy- running terrior) are walking leashed to their person and there are sidewalks. Mine were always in tow and on the go but I definitely enjoy being a homebody since Covid forced me to stay home. I thankfully never got it. That is when my petsitting for friends and family slowed down. I posted on Rover and booked sweet Honey in five minutes! We loved each other! Her parents are military and they got transfer orders to Florida though. Another favorite pup guest moved recently too. A lot of my goings-on have changed with all the new traffic every where so I would love to meet and love on some new furbabies. Since Covid and the respiratory infection threat for canines, I have adjusted to staying in and am more careful than ever. Doting on and spoiling my regulars in a home atmosphere is more challenging but does work because they are always happy to see me. Some even protest when it's time to leave but I think they are just mad at their parent for leaving them. 😂 Me and your bestie will have a fun time while you have a worry free getaway. Your sweet baby will be in a calm environment here doing whatever he/she enjoys. I go with their flow. Keeping only one at a time in my home gives us time to bond and that's so important especially if your baby likes to be an "only" pup. I am especially good with the spoiled, dramatic, "extra" ones as long as they listen and are well behaved. We had many different dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, pet mice and my little sister even rescued a bat with a broken wing. It was outside in a make shift crate with a popsicle stick to fix his wing (we were really young) until our mom discovered it. I was a stay at home mom with a low volume daycare so my little girl could have playmates. Our neighbor's doggie had puppies and we adopted one when she was four. We loved her! Her nickname was Miss Priss because she was so particular but she had the patience of a Saint. My daughter dressed her in clothes before it was a thing (1989) and she sat in the toy grocery cart or wherever she put her. They played hide and seek. They were too cute. She passed away after only 10 sweet short years. We were all devastated. My daughter started adopting kitties and after two years, I was gifted my pug. Samantha attached to me like glue. I also adopted an abandoned 8 month old mixed Chow & Corgi, Molly, who was living outside at a floor tile business and locked inside the gates on weekends. Someone near my old office moved and left her behind which was unfortunately common. I used to rescue many strays and find them homes there but Molly's chill demeanor got into my heart. I loaded her up on the spot. I can confidently take care of up to 3 kitties and/or pups for you in your home. They know their routines and the more the merrier because they keep me busy. I loved watching Amanda to the Rescue and Too Cute when they were on TV. To sum it all up, the most important thing is the safety of your best friend(s) and the trusting relationship that we will build having fun. A Family History: My daughter graduated from the College of Charleston with a double major (Hospitality & Business). She bought her own house when she was only 24 years old in downtown Charleston. She had been renting down there and we both love downtown. I wish I would have done that! I bought in West Ashley when Village Green was being built. She has a great job and gets lots of vacation time. She has given me three Grandkitties. Only the youngest one is still with us. Sadly two have passed away. The youngest is 18 years old now. I used to housesit all three at once with two flights of stairs and loved it! They were all over the house and there was never a dull moment. ❤️ My pug and I were in the "Pug Meet Up Group". I loved it but Samantha wasn't a fan after some rambunctious pugs were wrestling near her and accidentally popped one of her Halloween costume balloons our 1st meeting. She would sit in my lap the whole time every time. She won first place at Halloween party when I made her 🍇 grapes. It's on their website and in my pictures. I loved petting all the other pugs. They ran around in a circle at Petsmart getting love from everyone. I miss having her because whenever we went to the Riverfront Park or the lake people gathered around us for a closer look. Probably from her cuteness and they are known for not biting. ♥️ Favorite Childhood Pets: Jackie was our neighbor's dog who was living outside of our neighbor's house in her doghouse with a new litter of pups when we moved in the house across the street. My dad moved them inside our house (with permission). We lived in Goose Creek, SC. She lived with us the rest of her life. Even he cried when our sweet girl passed. ♥️ We adopted a German Sheppard puppy, Snoopy, and he was fun and playful. I hatched a duck from an egg (in our school Science lab incubator) and Snoopy let him ride on his back. They were friends. Then we adopted a white Siberian Husky puppy, Nikko. He was a really good quiet dog. He never barked. Then after Nikko, my mom got Muffin. No one knows what she really was but she was a sweetheart! I learned a lot growing up with big dogs. I know they are all unpredictable whether big or small so I prefer the lighter, smaller pups that can sit in my lap. I can also pick them up and carry them when I need to. My Dad saved one of our beloved Jackie's still born puppies by clearing his mouth and doing CPR! He is our Hero. I was only 7 years old but that had a lasting impact on me! We always teased him that he blew too much air in him because he was the biggest of the litter and the last to get adopted! I have personally been there and assisted in the delivery of three litters of puppies (including the one with CPR) and one litter of kittens that wasn't even ours. She came in and had them in our closet!! There's nothing like it. 💓💓💓 I can absolutely promise you that I can stay one step ahead of your baby. I have seen it all! My pups had a baby pool in the back yard, a pack n' play playpen for shady naps at the lake or park, a stroller when they got older for the beach, farmers market and shopping around downtown, a carrier that attached to my bike, a basket on my bike for the littles, a bed in every room, and toys/treats for days. You can see from my pictures that we stayed pretty happy having fun! Mine always went on errands safely crated in the car. I donated everything though after Samantha. I didn't know then I'd take up petsitting for the rest of my life! I will 99% of the time keep your baby at home until we know each other. We don't do dog parks ever and I keep them leashed to me or tethered on a line while outside with me just to be on the safe side until I totally trust them to not be a curious escape artist. For the kitties, we can play and snuggle or they can do their own thing. I keep their litter boxes clean and to the level they like. I keep their bowls clean and can easily feed separately or watch them eat if one is a food stealer! I can responsibility keep track of any medicine schedule while you are away even insulin injections. We have snuggles and TV time in the bed at night to wind down. Please bring your pups crate or bed if that is where they feel safe sleeping. Bring their favorite blanky, something that smells like you, treats they love and favorite indestructible toys to make their stay as comfortable and familiar as possible. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 I play with them and they can sit on my lap or have attention whenever they want it. I treat all furbabies like they are my own no matter what and make them feel as comfortable as I would want someone to treat mine.

Lynne is the best river sitter!! Her genuine love for dogs shines through in the special attention she gives. She took the time to understand our dog, learned our dogs preferences, and was incredibly thoughtful. Lynn's easy-going nature, lovable personality, and responsible approach make her the perfect choice for any dog. Penny loves Lynne and already wants to go back. Five stars without a doubt!

Lynne was so great! She is one of the most attentive sitters we have ever had and Wash loved her. She exceeded our expectations and happily sent tons of updates & pictures which we of course loved. We will definitely be looking for Lynne on our next getaway!

Lynne was fabulous! My Missy is a 5yr old Morkie and this was her first time that she was not able to go with us on a mini vacation. Lynne went beyond my expectations! She took the time to learn about Missy and her routine and likes and dislikes. She knew this was my first time leaving my baby and she did everything to make me feel at ease leaving Missy with her. I would leave her anytime with Lynne. I would also recommend her to my friends and family. Thank you Lynne!

We take leisurely walks when the weather permits. I would never power walk your baby. I prefer low energy dogs during really cold or really hot months if they don't like walking in those temperatures. I check ground temperatures for tiny paws in the summer & humidity levels for breeds with breathing issues. I have a screened in porch that we can enjoy watching birds or have some sunshine time. When it's really hot or cold outside we can watch movies cuddled in the blankets and pillows. I own a 3 bedroom home with an open floor plan and no stairs for seniors to climb. I use two baby gates to help keep my eyes on her/him and have indoor cameras too. I keep designated toys for bathroom play only so I can care for myself while they play with the "special toys". They're going to follow me in there anyway, lol. They all get a little mini facial before bed too. That means I put a clean, warm washcloth on their little face and tell them it's a facial then pat dry. They never run from me so they must like it! They get a lot of pampering and attention from me. I roll them over for a body check which I call belly rubs! When they aren't paying attention, I peak in their ears. I keep all entrances/exits locked at all times. At night they sleep in my bedroom with me and the doors are closed. The last thing we do is have a potty break. We go out with the porch lights on and a flashlight. My home is a very safe environment. I keep them occupied and love the companionship.

Information Lynne K. would like to know about your pet

A. What do they love (favorite activities) and what do they dislike (triggers such as fireworks, thunder, or anything that frightens them)? B. Any type of allergies? C. Have they ever bitten someone or another animal? If the answer is yes, please don't request me. If they growl or show teeth-your emergency contact will have to come and pick him/her up. D. Will your baby eat willingly when you are gone? If they don't, I will usually try hand feeding, sit with them or use their food as treats. Packing wet food always motivates them more than kibble. Please make sure they have tried out all food and treats you pack beforehand so it won't upset their tummy though. E. How often would you like updates and pictures? F. What rules do they have to follow at home? I will respect them. Do they have a schedule or go with the flow. I realize pets with health issues need their schedule and I absolutely honor that for you. G. Do they have separation anxiety? If they have separation anxiety when you drop them off, please have a pet approved calming product. Their Vet can prescribe something to calm them for the first day and night. Preferably give it to them 1 hour prior to dropping off and pack some too in original containers. I need to know what I am giving them. If you are not sure how they will act, I will have you step outside towards the end of our meet & greet. I had one pup, Honey, that I could tell if the mom or dad gave her calming drops before I got her because dad was heavy handed with it lol. She would fall asleep. Honey's mom was the manager of the Petstore in West Ashley. She introduced me to those drops. I have never needed them during Honey's stay but they packed them because she's extremely afraid of thunder and we didn't want to sit in the walk in closet together during storms without it. She loved me and our time together but drop offs were always hard for her. Honey and her military family are in Florida now and have the same issue with her new sitter so...please be kind to your anxious baby but always check with your vet first especially if they have heart problems. H. Do they have health issues? Are they on any prescription medication? If yes, what kind and what is it for? Please remember that I am a stranger to your baby. They can't talk to me so please be honest. I. What vocabulary words does he/she know? Knowing words and non verbal actions helps us to understand each other faster. Any tricks they know will be fun to practice and they might even learn some new ones! J. What if anything do I need to hide (paper, toilet paper, foam, ink pens, slippers, shoes, etc.) Being honest and upfront will help me keep that from happening and save you from them ingesting something that could lead to a copay from Rover's insurance of $250.00 and an emergency vet visit trauma for all of us. Even the best behaved have that thing they can't resist sometimes! If your pup tears up something you will be responsible to venmo the damages while on vacay so be honest! I take all furguests in the bathroom with me and have toys that are designated "bathroom play only" so it's highly unlikely they will get the chance to destroy anything but it's nice for me to know upfront. K. Bring proper size belly bands for males that mark or pups that don't like to go potty in the rain. Please be sure to get them used to them so they don't think I am mean! I have a three washable XS bands that fit 5 lbs. They have constant potty breaks outside so I don't have to clean up accidents. I have one marking yorkie who got a big surprise when he peed on himself instead of my curtain the first time I put a belly band on him at 5 years old. After changing it, his belly band stayed dry the rest of the time! His 2nd stay they were dry and by his 3rd stay I just used them when he wasn't on my lap and when he was on my bed just in case. He gets extra belly rubs to help him forget it's on him. L. If your baby has been used to barking excessively for no good doggie reason, do yourself a favor and look into one of the many bark collars that are on the market and pack it because it is such an easy fix. I had one favorite, regular furbaby who starting barking at nothing when he turned 2 years old. His parents showed me his new collar. I think it made a noise if he barked. I put it on him once for about 30 seconds and after that all I had to ask him was "Do you want your collar?" and he knew those words. I never had to use it again. He was smart but they all test parents and sitters whether two legged or four. He had awesome pet parents but sadly they have moved back to their favorite city, Atlanta. M. Is there a part of their body they don't like touched? N. Where is their favorite petting spot? I have lots of tricks up my sleeve and have learned more from my great pet parents. I started on here for the extra companionship and enjoy working with pet parents that are appreciative of how hard I work as I am of your hard work training your baby to behave. Thank you, Lynne ?

A typical day

We do whatever they want to do. I don't force them to do things. They get lots of supervised potty breaks all day long. I make sure they eat with little tricks even if they don't feel like eating. I let them show me their personality and go from there. I have a toybox that I open up for supervised playing. You are welcome to bring anything you have to make their stay familiar to them. We take a couple of walks if they enjoy that. We can enjoy the outdoors on my screened in porch. There are plenty of squirrels that need to be chased out of my yard. They get lots of affection and can sit in my lap whenever they want. I give lots of reward treats for good behavior. We play a lot and try to stay away from other people's pups anyway but especially since there is a doggie virus going around. If something unexpectedly breaks and I need to run to Home Depot, I always take your pup too. I think they would like that better than staying home alone. I will secure them in a blanket lined buggy from the car seat in my car. All pups are secured when I am driving. I also put an extra pet tag on them with my information, as well as, a Pawaii for extra precaution. They are precious cargo! I am not a fan of shopping but being a homeowner triggers unexpected trips to the hardware store. Most days we hang out at home playing with toys and playing cognitive games if they like that. We also watch movies. If it's a long stay and your pup is a regular who enjoys car rides, I may plan a day trip to walk along the river at Riverfront Park or take them somewhere else that I know is safe. We never go to dog parks. My goal is to return them to you happy, well fed, exercised, and healthy. If your baby gets excited when you turn in my Subdivision than I am a successful sitter! I keep all doors locked at all times no matter whose house I am in. My house has two doors on all 3 exits so no furguest or my own have ever been able to nor wanted to escape from here. You can bet on tight supervision of doors while in my care. I have a big back yard and I always stay out with them even though it is fenced. There are sidewalks to get our exercise safely. I usually pick them up or cross the street if I see another person walking with a dog.
