Retired Vet Tech 26 YR CAREER

Pet care experience

Experienced vet tech. 24 years in private practice medicine and 2 recent years in emergency veterinary clinic. Recently retired due to leg injury. Still very mobile and wanting to continue in some capacity in pet care. Pet sitting experience. I often cared for sick and injured pets, or special need pets in my home while working as a tech. Many pets needed to be syringe fed or given fluids and medications, and could not be left alone overnight when practice was closed. I also cared for many of our client's pets while they traveled. I personally own a special needs cat named Torey. He is semi-paralyzed and requires having his bladder expressed several times a day, as well as cleanup baths periodically. Animal nursing has been my life-long passion and career! My home is designed for pets. I have a large fenced in yard. My greatest strength in veterinary medicine has always been my attention to detail. I am very experienced and trustworthy. I do not smoke and I have always passed my drugscreens, because I do not take drugs.

Lynne has cared for our FurKids over many years. She is capable, dependable, knowledgeable and trustworthy. Above all else, Lynne loves animals whether feathered or furry. Lynne's background in veterinary medicine is an added benefit to pet parents and their fur kids. When Lynne is the Nanny for my FurBabies, I am at peace knowing they are receiving the same gentle and loving care that I provide. I award Lynne 5 Gold Stars!!!

May, 26, 2017 To whom it may concern, Lynne Fuchs was our wonderful pet sitter for our 2 elderly cats from 2004 until 2013, until we moved to south St. Johns County. Our recommendations cannot describe what a true gem she is! Being a Vet Tech, her skills came in handy for animals with “special needs”. She taught us how to use a “piller” for our cats meds. She is qualified to give shots and IV’s. She would contact our vet should our beloved pets had health issues. Occasionally would transport our pet to Vet for treatment required in our absence. As Lynne became familiar with our cats, she got to know their habits/personalities and of course, playtime activities! Lynne also went above and beyond her pet duties! Mail was brought in, trash cans taken out/in, watering of plants, etc… We had a gas leak in an outdoor tank. A neighbor alerted her during her pet visit, she contacted us. We were able to contact our gas company and situation under control within hours. We were able to travel knowing with full confidence that our pets and home were ALWAYS in good hands. With cell phone technology, we would receive pictures of our cats, assuring us “all was well”. We had the confidence of knowing our pets were well taken care of. Lynne is reliable and would write a “daily note” with our pet’s activities. Please feel free to contact me. Cindy Christensen cindycrn@comcast.net Cell: 904-652-3041

My pets are my children. Lynne pet sat for me and did a fantastic job. My dog was happy when I got home, Lynne kepted me updated while I was gone, per my request. Lynne has a Veterinary Technician background as I was her Supervisor at an Animal ER. Having a medical background made my being away that much easier, knowing that Lynne would be able to address any medical problems in my absence with confidence. She has a very compassionate heart for animals, I would recommend Lynne to anyone looking for a mature, responsible, reliable pet sitter.

Lynne was my pet sitter for several years until I moved out of the area. Her knowledge and love of animals makes her the #1 person I would have caring for my pets. Having Lynne as my pet sitter gave me piece of mind when I had to be away from home.

Information Lynne F. would like to know about your pet

I love all dogs, but, I really love the toy breeds, the "little ones". Yorkies, Dachshunds, Westies, Jack Russell, Boston Terrier, Pugs, Chihuahua, Lhasa, and many more.... I will board larger dogs if they are cat friendly and calm. Because I had my leg surgically repaired, I have to be careful and a big frisky dog, although I love them, could bump into me and hurt my leg.

A typical day

Unable to take on walks. Two reasons: 1. My leg still recovering 2. Too many dogs not always on a leash in and near my neighborhood and that makes me very nervous for the safety of the dog in my care My backyard is fenced in and my chihuahua loves to play with other dogs. I can also supply a baby pool for fun "splash time" Lots of cuddle time during the evenings when TV is on.
