Pet care experience
I've lived around and loved animals since I was 9 years old, and 4 years ago, I founded an animal welfare club at my university, with which I began a nation-wide fostering network, specifically for orphaned neonatal kittens and puppies. I am used to late night feeding schedules, giving medication, following schedules, and monitoring and maintaining healthy habits. I have also lived with and cared for a senior cat with anxiety and liver failure, and have experience administering medication. I have fostered cats, small dogs, and large dogs, and I think being patient, cautious, and giving lots of positive reinforcement are the qualities that make me best suited for caring for companion animals. I'm currently a student, but I've spent years in the company of animals every day, and so spending time with animals is the free-time I need. My weekends are usually available, and Monday - Wednesdays most weeks are also great for me. The priorities I have for the companion animals I care for are (1) lots of healthy play so that they can spend their energy, (2) as much outdoor time as possible (I encourage this for cats as well if there is a safe area for them and they are curious to go outdoors), and (3) sticking to routines. I like to keep as many constants as possible in their lives to minimize stress. I try to stick to the schedules they are usually on to make them feel safe and happy. Any change they may need to go through should be as smooth and gradual as possible!
Reviews
Lynn is passionate and practically a cat soul mate ! my Lily-Blue had a great time with her (over 9 days). Taking care of her needs and playing, cuddling, grooming. For sure my car felt secure and I’m super grateful for that ! :)
Thanks for looking after him Lynn - and sorry to change my plans (from A to B; and then back to A again). The test, for me, is obviously how keen he was to come to you (the second time). He obviously loves you - because you got the full "squeaking" treatment!
Lynn was great, she sent us lots of lovely photos of our cat so that we knew that he was being well looked after. I would very much recommend her.
It was very relaxing knowing Lynn was looking after our cats. She kept me informed with photos and even checked how I would like to receive them. I would certainly be happy to book her again.

Information Lynn W. would like to know about your pet
Its important to know ahead of time any medical or behavioral issues I should be aware of as well as the dog’s routine. As I wrote before, I like to stick to their regular routine as much as possible to keep them feeling safe and comfortable. I don’t need a specific schedule, but just what times they eat and walk, where they enjoy walking most, how long they usually walk, what toys they enjoy, and if they have any triggers that make them uncomfortable or stressed.
A typical day
My priority is spending as much active time as possible with the dogs especially when the weather is nice. I know of lots of parks and safe outdoor spaces where they can run around and play. Essentially though, this depends on the dog. Some dogs prefer parks where they can interact with others and some prefer playing at home or in less crowded areas. Since me caring for the dog will be relatively new for them, I would usually ask the current guardian for familiar places the dog enjoys and stick to those for the first while at least.
