Canine Care for Pups of All Ages
Pet care experience
Growing up, I was not allowed to have a dog, despite my endless pleading to my parents. After moving out of my parents house to attend college across the country, one of my first priorities (after finding an apartment) was finding an animal to share my life with. Enter a 1-year old Chihuahua. Atlas stole my heart immediately. We shared 14 wonderful years together. I watched him grow from a rambunctious one-year-old to an old, blind man with a heart condition. I'm well versed in everything from gentle oral medication administration to helping a blind dog navigate walks to putting snow boots on a dog. Atlas passed away in 2018 and my current schedule does not permit me to share my home with another dog right now. My spouse and I do have a cat and even though I'm still a diehard dog lover, Puddle has proved to me that I'm a sucker for anything soft and furry. When I am not caring for other people's pets, I work in the production side of theatre. I freelanced for 15 plus years and during that time I learned how essential it is to be self-motivated, reliable and punctual in order to work in the entertainment business. I am also a fast learner. Working in theatre requires patience, kindness and a sense of humor. One could say that a life in the theatre is the best training a dog walker could ask for! I had Atlas for 16 beautiful years and I will always cherish those memories. It's been a few years since his passing and I am positively chomping at the bit for some quality animal time. I've got a lot of pent up doggie-doting to dish out! I look forward to spoiling the pooch (or kitty) in your life!
Reviews
Always feel very good with the care and attention Lynn gives to our cat. I have the utmost confidence in Lynn.
Lynn took care of my parakeet in a wonderful way. She spent time while feeding her to talk to her and give her attention. Lynn also turned music on and off so my bird would have stimulation when she wasn't there.
Lynn was so great! Loved seeing pictures of the boys while we were away.
Lynn gave Chloe all the love and attention she needed, and was very communicative and reliable. Hire her any time!

Whether you book a walk, a drop in visit or a house sitting, your fur baby and I start our visit with the usual high-pitched, excited (no-jumping allowed!) hello. Once we settle down a bit, we'll get the leash and head out for a walk or a run around the backyard to burn off some of that pent up energy. Whether your dog is a high-energy 2-year old spaniel or a wizened 15 year old lab, I will tailor my pace and energy to match what they need. After coming inside, we can continue to play fetch or curl up on the couch for TV time. If I'm staying in your home overnight, I'll serve your fur-baby their dinner and then settle in to digest for a little. Before bedtime, I'll take them outside for one more potty break and perhaps a bedtime treat when coming back inside. Whether they go to sleep in a crate or in a bed with a human companion, they are bound to fall asleep feeling loved and taken care of.
Information Lynn S. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know what a perfect day would look like to your dog. Do they love walks or would they rather play fetch? What are their favorite treats? Favorite toys and games? Anything that you think would make their day better, I'd love to know about. As for breed preferences, I've never met a breed I didn't like. If it's got a wagging tail and paws, sign me up!
A typical day
I'm a born nature lover, so taking your dog on a walk outside is right up my alley. If it's cold outside, I don't mind bundling up (and bundling up your dog, too, if need be) and hitting the pavement. Outings to the dog park are fun too and I have a reliable car to get us there (and a dedicated ball Chucker that lives in my car). I am a runner, so if your dog does particularly good on a leash, they might just accompany me for a couple miles. If your canine companion is more of a couch potato, I also love curling up on the couch with a good book or a Netflix marathon. For cats who love to play, I'm their gal. Whether it's a laser pointer or a mouse toy, I love watching their quick reactions and acrobatics. If your cat is more of the anti-social, I'll-take-a-couple-head-scratches-and-then-I'm good type, I'm cool with that too.

Because I work a demanding summer job, I love taking it a little slower when the temperature starts to drop. My schedule begins to open up in November and generally remains flexible through April. By May, I am gearing up for my summer job and accept less Rover requests until the following November when the cycle starts over. No matter what, I always cherish any time I get to spend in the company of animals.
