You wanna go for a walk?!
Pet care experience
I've owned a puppy and a senior dog. I understand the difference in their temperaments and needs. I am experienced in dealing with dogs with anxiety and dogs with health issues. I had an elderly dog. I also have dealt with puppies who experienced separation anxiety. I've learned relaxation techniques such as counterconditioning, placing distractions (such as treats) for your dog while you're away. I've also taught myself the tone dogs use when they are trying to communicate by closely observing the dogs I've owned throughout my life. I am in between jobs at the moment so my availability is open, especially early in the morning. I can be as flexible as I won't so if someone is in need of help, I'll be available. Before I start my job as a caregiving a client's dog, I have a brief conversation beforehand to update myself on what the dog has been experiencing. I'll also ask how the owner has been with their dog just to check if the dog is experiencing separation anxiety or hyperactivity. Everything from the dog's favorite toy to allergy, to dietary needs, will be discussed a day before the drop-in or walk happens. * Dog Walking: As a dog walker, I have a dog walker kit. The kit consists of bags to pick up after the dog, a water bottle, a portable dog dish, some dog treats, an umbrella, and a small towel. I check the weather and depending on the climate I choose a route that is best for the dog. I decide which route that’s best for the dog, and plan for breaks. I use a timer to make sure, I get back within the time set for the walk. * Drop-In Visits: As a drop-in, I will make sure I’m informed of what activities the dog likes to play. Depending on the owner's preference, I’ll feed the dog before playtime, or have playtime before feeding. Usually, I’ll feed the dog before playtime, so that they can work off the energy they have built up. I’ll have a playtime kit so that I can pick up after the dog if it decides to use the restroom. Before I leave, I’ll make sure that everything the dog has played and/ or their walking equipment is in a safe location. I’ll make show the dog is in their area and I’ll make sure they have their favorite toy to preoccupy them before I lock up and leave. I send a text to the owner letting them know that the drop-in or walk is complete, how everything went and where the dog is relaxing in the house.
Reviews
Lyndsey is great!! She takes great care of our senior dog and our parakeet! I would recommend her to anyone who would rather alow their pets to stay at home while you are on vacation. She has stayed at our house on multiple occasions and always takes care of everything.
She’s amazing
Lindsey is a great pet sitter. Peanut loves her, is always happy to see her, and has a good time when she takes care of him. She is warm, friendly, reliable, and you can rest easy when you leave your pets with her. And the whole process with Rover is trouble free. It’s a Godsend.
I use her all the time Excellent

Things I would like to know before caring for your dog besides their name, breed, and age: 1. Do they have separation anxiety? 2. What are their favorite snack? 3. Do they have any favorite toys? 4. Do they have any health issues? 5. How long do they like to walk? 6. Are they prone to napping? 7. What is their level of hyperactivity?
A typical day
I love to go to dog parks with dogs. They also need to socialize with other dogs to make friends. Another activity I like to tug of war. The dogs always win.
