I am incredibly comfortable with dogs of all sizes and have handled dogs up to 130 lbs without issue. I have frequently volunteered as an animal handler at a local shelter, so I have a wide range of experience working with animals with various temperaments. I also have owned a couple of cats throughout my life and handle them weekly at the animal shelter, including ones with serious anxiety issues and social problems. No cat is too much for me! At the shelter, I have put in enough hours and training to be allowed to interact with all cats at the shelter, including the most challenging cats that require rigorous behavior modification plans. I also achieved the 2nd of 3 levels of dog-handling at the animal shelter so far. I volunteer weekly at a wildlife rehab! No animal is too much for me (except maybe a tarantula). But really, I am not squeamish. I'm accustomed to handling many different types of animals. Just tell me how to care for your babies, and leave the rest to me!
