Loving Sitter - Your Pet Is Family!
Pet care experience
Hi, nice to virtually meet you! I’m Lynda, work for the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), and use Rover for supplemental income and savings. I am local and look forward to getting to know you and your fur babies! I’m happy to help with walks, check-ins, feedings, playdates, and overnights with your pup or cat! I have a schedule that usually allows for flexibility for walks, check-ins, or overnights. If I can make it work around my schedule, I will do my best. As a walker, sitter, and human, I am responsible, kind, friendly, passionate about animal welfare, and have a lot of professional and personal experience. I will treat your pet as if they were my own. Please feel free to check out all of my 5 star reviews! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly to schedule a time to chat and meet your fur family! Please allow a ~1 hour response time. For my safety and the safety of your pets, I do not accept requests without a phone screening to connect and discuss details of care. Thank you for your time, consideration, and trust with your fur baby, and I look forward to chatting with you soon! I do my best to accept all requests that fit around my work schedule. I work full-time (Wednesdays through Saturdays), four days a week, but I am usually available for drop-ins, walks, or feedings early in the mornings or at night. I don’t work Sundays through Tuesdays and would love to spend my days off cuddling with your fur babies at home or spending time with them at the park. I adjust my care to match an animal’s typical day as well as meet their behavioral, medical, and emotional needs. Dependent on the animals level of energy, sociability, and general wellness, I am happy to take long walks around the neighborhood, walks in the parks, or simply spend time with your pup or cat.
Reviews
Lynda and her partner, Lexi, did a tremendous job with our senior cat, Jamie! We were nervous to leave him alone for several days but Lynda provided us with consistent updates and went above and beyond with brushing Jamie, cleaning his paws, and taking him outside. Our apartment was also spotless when I arrived home. Definitely recommend!
Lynda was amazing!! It was go great to go out of town and feel relieved knowing she was taking such good care of my kitties! Thank you so much Lynda! I look forward to rebooking you in the future!
Lynda took amazing care of our cats while we were away! She made it easier to be away from them since we knew they were in such great hands!! Plus she sent plenty of pictures, videos and updates!
My cat loves Lynda. She took great care of her while I was away. I highly recommend Lynda.

I live on the ground floor in a studio apartment with a large park across the street. I am open to hosting all sized dogs, but I am especially inclined to host older, arthritic dogs that are unable to do stairs. When caring for pets in client’s homes, I am sure to follow directions and ask clients to leave written out instructions to ensure that I am providing typical care and maintaining any routines. I am sure to tidy my client’s homes after any services and will scoop/change litter and clean any messes left behind by messy eaters, etc. Thank you for your trust and I look forward to connecting with you soon!

Information Lynda B. would like to know about your pet
Preferred treats, health history, and any behavior issues that I should be aware of — i.e. bite history, mouthing, leash-grabbing, stranger danger, dog reactivity, etc. or “pet-peeves" - i.e. loud noises, skateboards, etc. Please note: for the safety of your pet, other pets, and myself, I usually do not accept walking or sitting requests for dogs that have a bite history, dog reactive or aggressive, or reactivity to strangers. I may ask to meet your pup in advance to screen these behaviors prior to accepting. Sitting rates may change for dogs that need 24/7 care/separation anxiety, but I am always happy to discuss and negotiate to agree on what feels comfortable to you.
A typical day
We will take a great walk around the city. I usually explore the area and give your pup a walk that’s enjoyable for us both. If I have the time, I can do an extended walk while exploring the city with your fur baby. I have knowledge and experience with dog behavior so I am happy to keep up any specific method that you’re using, including specific walking routes. Please note: I am NOT a behaviorist or trainer therefore I do not train dogs, and there are certain behaviors that I will not work with for my safety and the safety of your dog, other dogs, and people. Please expect end of walk updates and photos from me as I prefer to have a communicative and personal relationship with pawrents for the overall success of my services. Please note: I never walk more than one dog at a time (in packs) unless they are from the same household.

I will do my best to accommodate requests before or after work, and/or I am happy to stay overnight with your fur babies. If close to my job on the UES, I am able to adjust my lunch breaks to pop in as well.
