My first experience caring for dogs (that were not my own) was when I was in elementary school and my family fostered greyhounds for a greyhound welfare organization that were coming right off the racing tracks and looking to be adopted. Since then I have done year-round pet sitting and dog walking for a client base of about 20 owners (2010-15) and worked for a dog walking company called Happy Pet Loving Care as a dog walker (2011-15). I have also volunteered at wildlife sanctuaries in Namibia and South Africa (2010) where I worked hands on with larger animals such as cheetahs, baboons, lions, ostriches. In 2015 I interned at a farm animal sanctuary where I helped out with the animal care of pigs, horses, chickens, goats, and sheep. In 2016 I completed a 5 week animal care internship at Best Friends Animal Society where I worked with dogs, cats, horses, pigs, goats, rabbits, and parrots. From 2016 to 2017 I worked at a doggy day care and gained valuable experience handling many dogs at a time- of all different sizes and temperaments. In 2018 I moved from San Diego to Rhode Island where I am currently unemployed, as my husband and I are preparing for our first baby, arriving mid May. I volunteer at Potter League in my free time and am looking to meet other cute pups this spring to help care for! I am comfortable working with high energy, elderly, or special needs dogs. I am also comfortable administering medications and am dog CPR certified. As you can probably tell animals are the biggest part of my life! I can't wait to meet you and your pups :)
