Ready to love your pet like my own!

Pet care experience

Hello! Thank you for taking an interest in me and the services I can provide you! I am here to make your day away from your fur kid(s) better knowing that your pets are both safe and happy! My Experience: I have grown up around dogs all my life, having great experience with all types of dogs. My experience first started in high school, becoming a regular volunteer dog walker at the at Lycoming County SPCA. In addition to my experience in shelter spaces, I have about 7 years of experience with pet/house sitting. Though I have taken a break in recent years from dog sitting/walking, I have been a dog-foster parent for the last 2 years, having had 9 dogs come through my home. I currently co-run a 501c3 non-profit cat rescue called Oakland TNR Coalition, so I fully understand that each pet has his/her own special needs. As a guinea pig owner of 8 years, fish owner of 3 years, and rat owner of 2 years, I also have experience with exotic pets, and am more than willing to take care of them as well at no additional cost. Availability: I am currently available week days and weekends. Because of my own pets, I am only able to house sit for short periods of time (only about 2 days). What You Can Expect: I will love your pets just as much as you do and do everything in my power to ensure they are happy and healthy while you are away. Animals are family, and I believe that as their owner, you should have the comfort of knowing they are well taken care of while you are gone. I want to give them the same love and attention as you would, helping them be at ease while you’re away. We can go on outings, walks, trips, whatever it may be. A Little About Me: I will be 23-years-old in June and am a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Political Science, minoring in Spanish, and pursuing a Sustainability Certificate. I have 3 cats of my own and anywhere between 10-20 foster cats at a time (I bought a home just for them!). I am vegan and a huge animal lover, having a great appreciation for the wonderful animals we call family. Since I do not have dogs of my own, I do everything I can to be around them, bringing joy to both me and the animal. I am currently in between jobs in the service industry and have been focusing the majority of my time on my independent non-profit cat rescue.

I am knowledgeable on leash and fence safety. If you have a fenced in yard, I will be sure to check that all gates are closed before letting your pet out. If you do not have a yard and rely on a leash, I will be sure that their harness/collar and leash are 100% secure. I also have no problem crating your pet for you if that is needed.
