Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs all my life. My family have bred, raised and rehomed a number of Pointers over the years meaning I've been responsible for looking after puppies, adolescents and also the oldies. Friends and family have also relied on me to walk feed and bathe their dogs when needed - including 4 week old puppies (which I did very happily!) I am a confident dog sitter both in and out of the house environment and am happy to look after a range of dog shapes, sizes and breeds. I have previously dog sat for a variety of breeds such as Flat Coats, Spaniels, Cavaliers and Vizlas. The days I have available are my rest days so your pooch really will be the centre of attention - so depending on your dogs needs I will quite happily walk as much as needed, chill out as much as needed and provide all the playful activities too! I know its a big deal getting someone to look after your dog which means when it comes to the pupdates I'm very happy to provide them as little or as often as you need them!

Lydia often looks after my dog who is elderly, blind & has a few other health issues. I find it difficult to leave Pips (my dog) with others however I trust Lydia implicitly & would recommend her to anyone looking for someone professional, kind & caring to look after their pooch 5*
Lydia was brought up with dogs all of her life as her mother bred pointers. She has cared for and walked my dogs for me from a very early age. When we have been away on holidays she has gone out of her way to make sure they have had the best possible care and attention and has fed and watered them as per instructions. She has also looked after my friends dogs whilst they have been away on holiday too. Her knowledge and confidence about dogs is second to none. I can fully recommend her ability to look after your pets!
Lydia has looked after our two Pointers for a number of years. We wouldn't trust just anyone. She is a dog lover first and foremost, responsible, level headed, organised and honest. She is capable when it comes to walking, control of the dog whilst out and respects our wishes regarding feed times, snacks and house rules. She's a lovely, reliable friend to our pets. Can't recommend her highly enough

I currently don't have any dogs so your pooch would be centre of attention. My back garden is completely fenced off too meaning they would have the run of the garden also. I'm very happy to take dogs for walks both near and far but if your dog is a sofa surfer that's fine by me too!

It's really important to me that I know any specific needs about your dog - not only so you know that they will be as happy as they can be in my home, but also so that I ensure they're being looked after to the best of my ability. Some examples of this might be how good they are on a lead, their recall capability and their behaviour with other dogs on a walk.
A typical day
A typical day with me would be totally "Your Dog Dependent" - basically I'm happy to be whatever type of pet sitter is needed for your pooch. Which could mean providing mental and/or physical stimulation for your dog. I love walking so having some company would be perfect. I live near plenty of country walks and vast spaces, but there are some closer smaller walks nearby too.

Availability
I am a shift worker which means I'm looking for some company on my rest days - which I'm hoping to fill with walkies, playful activities and some sofa chilling too. My rota is known in advance so my calendar will be updated with availability regularly.
