Pet care experience
Hi! I’m an attorney by trade but recently quit my day job and now all I do is look after dogs. I ran a successful dog-sitting business in DC, through which I watched about 10 dogs per week for daycare (not all at once!). Therefore, I have a lot of experience with all types of dogs and know a lot about dog behavior. I also have a 4 year old golden retriever of my own, Harvey, and 2 cats. I grew up with pets, including horses, and both my parents and my brother are veterinarians. Therefore I have tons of experience with animals as well as great resources within my family at my fingertips.

Lydia (and her cute pup Harvey) stayed at our house and took great care of our house and dog while we were away for 10 days. Lydia sent lots of pics while we were away and we came home to a very clean house and happy dog. Thank you, Lydia! We look forward to working with you again :).
Lydia was great. I have a 14 year old bichon frise. She saw to all his needs and Toby was happy and content. She went above and beyond washing towels and sheets and left my home looking wonderful. I highly recommend Lydia for your pet care needs.
Lydia is amazing! We are so grateful we found her for our dog Larry. She was very patient helping him overcome his initial anxiety and he ended up playing the entire weekend and having a great time! Lydia was also a great communicator and sent us lots of pictures and videos while we were away. We will definitely be using her again!
Lydia was fantastic!! She was extremely communicative and sent multiple picture updates, while I loved + really appreciated. When I returned home, my pups had a fresh bowl of water, and seemed very happy (and, sleepy…which is always nice!). She is a dog owner herself which also left me feeling super confident about her abilities to care for my pups. 10/10 would recommend!!

A typical day
I can take your dog on a walk around the neighborhood, to the dog park, or even drive them to go on some hikes! My dog Harvey and I go on 40+ mile backpacking trips so we are athletic and love adventures!

I can do house sitting, drop in visits, and dog walking. I can also take your dog to play with my dog if you want! If hired for house sitting, I would need to be able to bring along my golden retriever, who is non-destructive, house trained, and friendly.
