Pet care experience
I have 25 years in caring for pets on my own - mostly dogs, cats, and birds. I have owned animals my entire life, however. I have rescued, fostered, and placed dogs as well. I do work Mon-Fri but I work remotely most of the time. After work, walks and play time will absolutely happen, and on the weekends it is endless really! I am fine taking dogs in my car to trails or parks as long as you are okay with that. I have experience administering medications and injections. I do not have any restrictions except for females that are not spayed - IF they are in heat or may go in heat during their stay with me, I request you get the cloth doggy diaper with pads. Your dog must get along with other dogs if staying with me or if I'm staying at your place as my dog is with me always. Other than that, I love them all and would be happy to take them off your hands for awhile or on overnights and let them have some fun! I have many repeat clients whose houses I stay at if it's easier for you and your pets as well.
Reviews
Best of the best! Takes great care of our dog, and even leaves the house neater than we left it (not hard)! Lydia is definitely our go-to when we're going to be away without Dewey. Can't recommend her high enough.
Lydia was a fantastic sitter with our dog, Dewey. She did everything we asked, and has such a warm and comforting demeanor around pets. She knows what she’s doing and is great at this!
Lydia was great taking care of our dog Ollie while we had our wedding events!! She gave us a reasonable amount of updates as well as pictures, which we loved seeing during some stressful times! She was very friendly and Ollie loved her! We will definitely be using Lydia again! Thank you Lydia!!
Lydia was great! She was very competent, Communicative & trustworthy. My 14-year-old dog warmed up to Lydia quickly and shadowed her for her stay. Her daily photos were reassuring as well as entertaining!

A typical day
I love to train dogs with new tricks! This may be difficult if it's a short stay, but I like to keep dogs interested and stimulated so they don't get bored. There are plenty of parks to go on walks in the area as well. There are beaches nearby if your dog likes water. The activities are plentiful.

Availability
I currently am remote mostly and work 30min away should I need to go on site, so that offers a lot of flexibility. I'm able to take them outside on walks throughout the day.
