Since I was 6 years old I had hamsters and often found myself shocked at how my young friends would treat their pets. My pets have always been a priority - no “I’ll change their water later” mentality. I’ve grown up in a family who have always owned border collies which are very intelligent yet high maintenance dogs so I am used to having to give a lot of time and attention to dogs. I find being around animals very cathartic and I love to watch what they get up to. I am a keen runner so can take dogs that can handle it out running with me too.
