Pet care experience
Hi there! I offer short notice or longer-term house sitting for cats this summer. discount available for extended stay Having my own dog and cat I know how difficult it can be to organise pet care and trust someone with your beloved one, so I am happy to talk through detailed instructions and any special requirements for each individual dog. I've been a dog person from the very beginning. I grew up with a chihuahua and later on frequently looked after the dog of my aunt - a hyper-active beagle. Since I adopted my rescue cat, I’ve totally succumbed to the feline fever too 😸 My super-friendly dog loves company and has a high energy level, therefore I normally walk him around 3 hours per day. You can be assured that your dog gets lots of fun in a nearby fenced park and many other local green areas like Norwood Park or Streatham Common Park. I live in a large studio apartment with direct access to a private, fenced garden. When looking after your pet I am happy to keep you updated about our activities, providing you with pictures and locations. I can also take care of special requests like food requirements and anything that is needed! I feel confident dealing with little behavioural issues of dogs, but please do let me know in your request if your dog has issues with being around other dogs. I have experience with puppies and puppy training and enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. If requested, I am happy to keep up your puppy/dog training during my dog sitting. Dogs are my special passion, but I love all sorts of animals and had many different kind of pets in my life (dogs, cats, rabbits, hamster, fish, ants, turtles... Apart from my Australian Labradoodle and rescue cat I also keep a little ants formicarium in my flat. I love horses and do activities such as horseback riding too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note that my home visits and walks are by default at least 1h long and I am happy to adapt to your requirements as I am generous with my time. Please do not hesitate to express concerns and wishes, as I am more than happy to adapt my visiting times to make your dog's experience the best possible.
Reviews
Thanks again to Lydia for looking after Ralph, he came home knackered after their hike in Surrey! Would definitely recommend
Lydia was very good with my Tessa. She new exactly how to deal with her shyness and idiosyncrasies. Lydia’s own dog is lovely and very sociable. Tessa came back from the walk very tired and happy. Thank you Lydia. Hope we do this again.
Lydia loves animals in general and dogs in specific more than people ^^ When we were Kids, we had a dog and she was the one of us, who took care of our dog. Although she was only a little girl, she fed the dog, played with the dog and took the dog out. She also took care of the little dog of our aunt, when she was at work or on holiday. Lydia treats animals respectful and with discernment. People should learn a lesson from her - there is no one i would entrust more with my dog than to Lydia and I really recommend her as a dog sitter. She will take care of your dog with heart and soul!
Lydia is a very caring person, with a great attention to detail and, above all, it's an animal lover in general and dogs in particular. I'm sure she would take care of any dog marvellously, in both indoors and outdoors. She would love to have an Australian Labradoodle herself.
