Full-time availability for walks, care and loving!

Pet care experience

My time is currently spent studying a business management degree online and designing crocheted clothing, giving me time flexibility so I can be available for your pet when needed and for dog walks. I can work my studying and crafting around your pets, and do these whilst sitting with them at home or together if this is what they enjoy. I have a 5 year old miniature poodle, Teddy, and have experience of caring for rabbits and cat-sitting too. I'll often go with Teddy to parks and cafes so if you're happy with this, would love to take your dog out during the day. I also understand that some are most comfortable in their own space, with familiar surroundings, so will respect any boundaries! I'm also training for the Yorkshire Three Peaks, so happy to get in as many walks as your dog needs, for whatever distance they usually manage! I have been driving for 5 years so can safely transport your dog wherever needed if necessary, and take them on a day trip to a park or countryside walk if you'd like. I was DBS checked for work in September so can assure safety through my clean record.

Lydia has had pets from an early age. She has cared for them, ensuring their needs are well met. Lydia trained the family dog, and regularly exercises and cares for him. She is a conscientious and capable young woman who loves canines and I am confident that she can be trusted to care for other people's dogs in the way she does her own.

Safety, trust & environment

I've found that most pets have been comfortable in the familiar environment of their own home. Previously, I have visited the owner's house twice a day to feed cats, provide entertainment and ensure all is safe for them. I have looked after dogs in different environments for days, not yet overnight stays, but feel more than comfortable given that I am used what's usually needed when caring for my own dog. I have cared for rabbits and guinea pigs of others at my own home and theirs for 5 years, managing feeding, moving them into their runs, clearing and re-filling hutches and monitoring safety.

Information Lydia E. would like to know about your pet

I'm comfortable with catering to any medical needs, elderly dogs or those who need a bit more TLC when it comes to anxiety. My dog used to be quite skittish so I'm used to responding to this and creating a calming environment.

A typical day

Just like I'm sure your dog is, I'm a big fan of woodland, countryside and park walks! So I'd enjoy taking them to wherever has the best stimulating smells, running space and area for fetch close to you. If it's warm outside, chilling in the sun and shade would be a dream!

As I study at home, I have no commitments at any specific location that hinders me from being available for your pet. In between entertainment, I'd enjoy sitting with them to give attention, and be nearby at my laptop or crafts whilst they doze off.
