Lydia - your next dog walker!
Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Lydia, I am 24 years old, love being outdoors and spending time with animals. I have spent my entire life caring for my own pets, including dogs, cats and horses, which is contradictory to my years of experience - the first pets I had to call my own was at the age of 10 (two very sweet cats), and I have owned my horse Ellie since I was 12. Since living with my partner's family, I have cared for dogs of all ages and sizes - an small older Whippet and new arrival puppy Weimaraner, both who have needed a lot of love and affection. As a dog walker I have two goals - making sure that the dog is well exercised and had time to do what needs to be done, and finding new walking routes to keep things interesting! When making visits I will ensure the same, as well as giving the pet all the love, food and attention they need to keep them happy until their owner returns home!
Reviews
Lydia was brilliant with my dachshunds- she sent me regular updates to reassure me! One of my dogs has a back weakness and she was great with managing his issues and adapting to suit his needs. Would highly recommend.
Thank you again for looking after Gus. Great service, very easy to deal with and excellent communication. 10/10! Thank you 😊
Lydia agreed on very short notice to look after Bru and Gus whilst I was away for the evening, and did a fantastic job. Updates were sent to us and it looked like they both had a great time in Lydia’s company. Would highly recommend!
Lydia has grown up with animals, when she was younger we had two cats and a dog, Tommy. At the age of 13 she had her own horse to look after, this is huge commitment. Having animals Lydia understood from an early age that the animals needs came before her own. Walking the dog in all weathers was part of our daily routine and the weekends took us further afield, this became the focal point of the weekends. A family friend became terminally ill a few years ago, What we decided to do as a family to help was walk his dog daily. Lydia understands how much care and attention animals need , but equally how much unconditional love they give us as humans. Any animal that has Lydia's care is a lucky animal as she's very kind and companionate. When home from university Lydia volunteered for RDA (riding for the disabled), leading the ponies for the disabled riders. The ponies loved her.
