Rescue Charity & Foster experience
I've spent a number of years working with a dog rescue charity out in Georgia, USA (HeroDogRescue .org), but am unable to have my own dog or cat, due to having house rabbits.
During my time at the rescue, I have helped to foster a large number of dogs (with up to 15 in our house at any one time!) and have experience with energetic / "difficult" / elderly / unwell / disabled dogs and administering oral medication.
What Lydia would like to know about your dog
Before you leave your pooch in my loving hands, I would need to know what medication they may need; their physical fitness (how long they are able to exercise for if old etc); & anything that might "set them off", for example: are they afraid of larger dogs or will they try bounding after a c.a.t if they see one!
Essentially just let me know anything that you think will make the dog be or feel safest!
As for breed preferences, I adore them all so no worries there!
