Vet assistant and lover of floofs!
Pet care experience
I work as a vet assistant at an emergency hospital, and have cared for dogs, cats, hamsters, Guinea pigs, mice, horses, and even zoo animals. I am comfortable handling a wide range of animals, and am currently planning on applying to veterinary school next fall.
Reviews
Very knowledgeable. The kitties enjoyed her.
We love Lydia! She’s so attentive to our fur babies.
Lydia is a great communicator and takes care of our cat when we’re out of town. Very thoughtful and always leaves good notes on how our cat is doing. I would highly recommend Lydia to anyone in need of a pet sitter.
Lydia was great with my girl! Would definitely use her again ☺️

Safety, trust & environment
I offer drop in visits and walks for clients. I usually take dogs out for a walk so they can eliminate and get some fresh air, and I make sure they get plenty of water afterwards so they stay hydrated. I usually spend a bit of time playing and cuddling before I leave. I can give medications/food/treats as desired, and I am comfortable giving topical and oral medications as well as subcutaneous injectables.
Information Lydia B. would like to know about your pet
Before I care for your family member, I need to know just a few things. Please let me know if your pet has any allergies/regular medications/behavioral quirks or reactivity/specific training necessities. I am comfortable with a wide variety of animals and can read your pet’s body language very well, but knowing these details will help ensure comfort for your pet and safety for both of us.
A typical day
I like to make sure that your pet has physical and mental stimulation. A walk with plenty of time to sniff is perfect for this. Depending on your pet’s energy level, I may add a bit of playtime, or I may just spend some quality time with them as they sleep.

Availability
I work full time at an emergency hospital, and I am usually at home the rest of the time. I update my schedule regularly in Rover. I’m usually up early because of my puppy, and I usually walk her twice a day. On the days that I’m not at the ER, I am home and thus can be out and about as much as needed to care for your pet.
