Military? Work a lot? I understand!

Pet care experience

***If you're in the military, I know how it is! My two roommates are in the military which means going out to sea a lot and duty each week. I know how to work with you having that in mind! For 10+ years, I have had family owned dogs, have done dog sitting/check ins for neighbors/extended family, have done overnight dog sitting for weekends. I love working with cats too!. I'm a long time animal lover. For 5+ years, I did farm animal care of horses, ponies, donkeys, chickens (one of my fave), bunnies, guinea pigs, lambs, goats, and even a cow! For my main job, I work as a floor installation estimator, and I make my own schedule. This offers me flexibility so I can work with your schedule too. I really look forward to meeting you and working with your pets! :)

Luke will always *always* be my favorite dog walker. He is so polite and cares so much. Calamity loved him. Very prompt. Took lots of pictures, and just had a blast. Thank you so much. I'm sad to have moved out of the area.

Used Luke for house sitting with my cat and dog this past June and will be using him again for stop ins and housesitting. Have a four year old German Shepperd - Mungo who wasn’t willing to cooperate with the kennels anymore for boarding. He knew when they tried to put the leash around his neck that he was being kenneled. I thought having someone come to our home would be a better option now. So did some research on Rover and came across Luke. He had experience with another dog that had similar personality. I knew it would take some time for Mungo to get used to a new person. So set up two stop ins and Luke was very patient. He researched ways to get Mungo get used to him. By the third visit it was time for us to go out of town and Mungo was visibly relaxed and looking for his toys when Luke came in. He checked in every day and by day three our cat was still in hiding (which we knew she would) but hadnt been out to eat or use her litter. Luke took the initiative in asking for her hiding spots and found her. They made friends by early the next morning and we still had another four days till we got home. He left our home tidier than it was when we left. Needless to say my experience was positive. If you are thinking about using Luke, I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He is genuine in making sure your pet is taken care of and trustworthy.

Luke stayed with our nervous dog and 2 cats for over a week. He became best buddies with our dog, loved on the cats, sent us photos and updates, and was super responsive and respectful. We felt comfortable having Luke in our house and with our animals. Thank you for taking care of our fur babies!

Luke was a wonderful house/pet sitter and we would highly recommend! He kept us updated with pictures and statuses on our dog and even taught him a new trick. He went above and beyond taking care of our house and cleaning up before he left. Kingsley loved him and we will definitely be using him again!
