Pet care experience
I began dog sitting for neighbors, friends, and family when I was in middle school and grew up with a household filled with dogs, cats, and hamsters! The most I have taken care of at at time is 4 dogs, a cat, a bird, and multiple aquariums. I have never been without a dog of my own (Dachshunds, English bulldogs, Hounds, and Husky-Lab mix), so I will always treats yours like my own. Having senior dogs many times in my life (especially those sweet bulldogs), I understand the care and sensitivity that is required. That includes giving medication, injections, keeping good hygiene, and giving them the assistance they may need.

Luke was great! Took excellent care of my two cats.
This was our 1st time using Rover after a few failed attempts with other potential sitters. Luke renewed our faith that we could leave our animals in good hands with someone new. He was nothing short of amazing--professional, intelligent, responsible and truly loving with animals. I rarely write reviews but Luke deserves every kind word. Most animal-lovers will understand when I say that it is difficult to fully communicate appreciation of and relief with someone who is genuinely stellar.
Luke was great again with our Jinx! Took great care of him!

I am not currently providing home boarding or day sitting! However, I treat your home just like I treat mine. I hold myself to high standards of cleanliness and do my best to leave your home just the way I entered it, and clean up all messes that might occur! I ensure your animal is safe and secure. Be that double checking doors are shut or locked, checking that harnesses and leashes are secure before any doors are opened, keeping self-defense spray on my person at all times when walking to prevent other animals or would-be dangers from approaching your pet and myself.

A typical day
I can play with pups all day if they have that much energy. I am an ex-collegiate runner, avid outdoorsman, backcountry backpacker, and climber, so as much exercise as they need, I am more than happy to provide. I have worked with sporting dogs in the past that require extended run time as well as dogs trained in security with large numbers of commands. I am happy to spend time during a meet and greet to learn your dogs specific needs, habits, commands, etc. My own dog, Lady, loves to go to the park or out to the lake for walks and I’d love to take yours along or go it solo if they prefer that! I am also completely content and just as happy to sit around and give them love and nap time if they are not the over active type.

Luke can watch in your home
Availability
I am available early mornings and always after 5PM. I offer house sitting during the holiday season predominantly on the weekends. If you are in the Bristol/Piney Flats Area I also offer noon drop-ins or checks during house sitting. Saturday-Sunday I am available all day!
