I have a cat, Leo, who I found in Santa Fe, NM while on an opera contract. We took him in for just a night, hoping to take him to the humane society in the morning, but he was just too sweet and too precious, so I adopted him. Now he's my little adventure buddy, following me all over the country. I took care of my dog, Dingo, when I was growing up, and he had severe anxiety. I fed him, bathed him, comforted him, discovered what his needs were. I've taken care of an elderly cat named Chubby who wasn't super great about controlling when she peed. I lived with and co-parented two cats for a year, Magpie and August. Magpie had some problems scratching everything in sight, and we figured out toys to get her scritching needs out without destroying the carpet. August had meningitis as a kitten, so he needed some accessibility adjustments that would allow him to get to the different points in the house he wanted to, and we made that happen.
